It&#8217;s unclear when the series will land on network television.<\/p>\n<p>The drama was written by author Scott O&#8217;Connor, whose literary works include &#8220;Untouchable&#8221; and &#8220;Half World.&#8221; O&#8217;Connor also penned\u00a0an article on Brock Lesnar around Summerslam that was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/08\/30\/magazine\/letter-of-recommendation-brock-lesnar.html?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\">published by the New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>O&#8217;Connor focused on Lesnar trying to bring &#8220;legitimacy&#8221; to the staged world of pro wrestling, making jaded wrestling fans buy into something they believe is real.<\/p>\n<p>One of O&#8217;Connor&#8217;s key lines in the article ties in with the title and likely theme of the Fox TV series:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Lesnar\u2019s performances give audiences that na\u00efve but unusual pleasure of not always knowing the difference between the real and the fake, replenishing their capacity to be fooled, shocked, even &#8211; yes &#8211;\u00a0conned.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The pro wrestling-themed show comes at the same time Fox picked up &#8220;Warrior,&#8221; an\u00a0MMA-themed drama.
