{"id":29307,"date":"2016-08-16T13:01:41","date_gmt":"2016-08-16T18:01:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/?p=29307"},"modified":"2016-08-16T13:01:41","modified_gmt":"2016-08-16T18:01:41","slug":"gfw-partners-college-football-bowl-game-live-wrestling-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2016\/08\/16\/gfw-partners-college-football-bowl-game-live-wrestling-show\/","title":{"rendered":"GFW partners with college football bowl game for live wrestling show"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pwtor-1201068317\" class=\"pwtor-before-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><hr \/><b>SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)... <\/b>\r\n\r\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/widget.spreaker.com\/player?show_id=3076978&theme=light&playlist=false&playlist-continuous=false&autoplay=false&live-autoplay=false&chapters-image=true&episode_image_position=right&hide-logo=false&hide-likes=false&hide-comments=false&hide-sharing=false&hide-download=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"140px\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\r\n<hr \/><\/div><p>Global Force Wrestling announced Tuesday a partnership with a college football bowl game for the 2016 bowl season.<\/p>\n<p>GFW and the Nashville-based Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl agreed to a deal for the GFW roster to present live pro wrestling to the bowl teams prior to their game.<\/p>\n<p>The bowl game takes place on December 30 and the GFW roster will give the two teams a\u00a0night of wrestling during the week of bowl activities leading up to the game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is innovative and something that will be memorable for the players and we are excited about the partnership with Global Force Wrestling,\u201d said bowl president Scott Ramsey. \u201cJeff Jarrett is a Middle Tennessee native, and we know he has been in the wrestling business for decades. We are confident that this event will be one of the highlights of a great week of events that culminates with the 19<span style=\"font-size: 13.3333px; line-height: 20px;\">th<\/span>\u00a0annual Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl on <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_641867499\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Dec. 30<\/span><\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey approached Global Force with the idea of giving the players something different than any other bowl game,&#8221; said Jeff Jarrett. &#8220;And I think it\u2019s a perfect fit. Males 18 to 24 are a huge part of our demographic, and we\u2019ll be as hyped to put on a great show as they will be to see one.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Jarrett also noted GFW will be keeping their eyes on the\u00a0football players to potentially recruit to wrestling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are a lot of ties between football and wrestling. So many great football players at the collegiate level have come into the ring and been successful when they put the cleats away.
