(WWE said Linda &#8220;continues to hold the remaining shares for investment purposes only.&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>The transaction\u00a0translates to Linda owning\u00a01.5 percent of WWE stock and 1.4 percent of voting power following the transaction. WWE disclosed that &#8220;as a result of the sale, as of August 17, 2016, Ms. McMahon is no longer a 5% beneficial owner of (WWE).&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Through two transactions in May and August, the trust generated about $66.1 million in gross proceeds\u00a0\u201cfor estate planning purposes for the benefit of Mr. McMahon and certain members of Mr. McMahon\u2019s Family.\u201d\u00a0WWE further added that the trust sale \u201cwas executed for liquidity and asset diversification.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Linda McMahon was listed on the SEC filing as a &#8220;self-employed executive&#8221; under the address of the trust and her\u00a0business,\u00a0McMahon Ventures, LLC, located in Stamford, Conn.<\/p>\n<p>WWE also <a href=\"http:\/\/api40.10kwizard.com\/cgi\/convert\/pdf\/WWE-20160818-SC13GA-0.pdf?ipage=11101494&amp;xml=1&amp;quest=1&amp;rid=23&amp;section=1&amp;sequence=-1&amp;pdf=1&amp;dn=1\" target=\"_blank\">filed an official document on Vince McMahon&#8217;s ownership standing<\/a> &#8211; 35,533,375 shares of WWE stock personally owned, translating to 48 percent of WWE stock and 85 percent of total voting power.<\/p>\n<div class=\"pwtor-end-article-groups pwtor-entity-placement\" id=\"pwtor-399630350\"><div id=\"pwtor-3936476603\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\nTHANK YOU FOR VISITING<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>A second big implication of Vince McMahon cashing out the remaining shares of his trust through a WWE stock sale is affecting Linda McMahon&#8217;s\u00a0company\u00a0ownership.
