MISSES 11\/22: Johnny Gargano challenges Pete Dunne for UK Title, Ruby Rio vs. Sonya Deville right before call-up"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pwtor-2501481503\" class=\"pwtor-before-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><hr \/><b>SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)... <\/b>\r\n\r\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/widget.spreaker.com\/player?show_id=3076978&theme=light&playlist=false&playlist-continuous=false&autoplay=false&live-autoplay=false&chapters-image=true&episode_image_position=right&hide-logo=false&hide-likes=false&hide-comments=false&hide-sharing=false&hide-download=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"140px\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\r\n<hr \/><\/div><h3><b>HITS<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Ruby Riot vs. Sonya DeVille<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This match kicked off this week\u2019s action, as there is no love lost between these two even though they recently debuted on the two different brands of the main roster.\u00a0 This match was technically sound even from the beginning with the skilled takedowns and reversals.\u00a0 After a strong leg sweep from DeVille, Riot fought the rest of the match in pain, reinjuring her ankle from two weeks ago at the hands of her opponent.\u00a0 As DeVille controlled the match, Riot fought hard, showing perseverance and tenacity while fighting through the pain.\u00a0 DeVille once again put Riot in the ankle lock, reminiscent of their last bout, but this time Riot made it to the ropes.\u00a0 While arguing with the referee, DeVille turned around and was hit with a Pele kick for Riot to pick up the win.\u00a0 This was a great match, as it seems to be the conclusion of their rivalry as they go their separate ways to the main roster.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad-tag\" data-ad-name=\"pw_incontent_2\" data-ad-size=\"300x250\"><\/div>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/tags-cdn.deployads.com\/a\/pwtorch.com.js\" async ><\/script><br \/>\n<script>(deployads = window.deployads || []).push({});<\/script><\/p>\n<p><b>Johnny Gargano vs. Pete Dunne<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This was an awesome match.\u00a0 Honestly, Johnny Wrestling never ceases to amaze me as he fights with so much heart, it&#8217;s like it&#8217;s for a purpose that serves not only the story of the match, but his story so well.\u00a0 It was the clash of styles that also helped to enhance this battle, as they are completely different.\u00a0 Dunne really came across as the &#8220;bruiserweight&#8221; he is with hard hitting forearms and strong submission locks.\u00a0 There was a lot of back and forth as no man controlled the match.\u00a0 Gargano started to build momentum and eventually locked in the Gargano Lock, but Dunne ended up biting his way out of it.\u00a0 Gargano continued to fight valiantly, but to no avail as Dunne hit Gargano with the Bitter End to pick up the win.<\/p>\n<h3>MISSES<\/h3>\n<p><strong>None<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This week mainly served as a recap for this past NXT Takeover: War Games and the spectacular event it was.\u00a0 The only matches were both Hits that seemed to be taped during the Takeover event but not aired.\u00a0 Fortunately, there were no misses this week.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>NOW CHECK OUT LAST WEEK&#8217;S COLUMN:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2017\/11\/17\/nxt-hits-misses-1115-final-takeover-wargames-hype-street-profits-vs-moss-sabbatelli-drew-almas-face-off-moon-vs-martinez-lars-squash\/\">NXT HITS &amp;
