The company makes desperate play after desperate play to make him their number one star &#8211; with limited success. How do they do it? What do they do?<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m <b>Tom Colohue<\/b> and this is the <b>Monday Night Reigns-o-Meter.<\/b><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><b>Monday Night Reigns-o-Meter<\/b><\/h3>\n<p>As you might expect from a 25th anniversary show so jam-packed with talent that almost no storyline actually happened, last night&#8217;s Raw was not really focussed on Roman Reigns. The big final match that I was expecting to see never materialized. He didn\u2019t come out at the top of the show to cut a promo. He didn\u2019t beat up a legend. Hell, The Undertaker was so scared of Roman that WWE had to book an entirely different area just to keep them apart.<\/p>\n<p>There was also an unfortunate late of The Miz being honest. And Alexa Bliss. And A.J. Styles. And Elias. And Brock Lesnar. And Braun Strowman. You know, the list goes on. As you might expect, this won\u2019t be the longest Reigns-o-Meter.<\/p>\n<p>Now, as most of my wonderful readers know (as well as the slightly dodgy ones, who am I to judge?) I am a big fan of my boy Roman, whilst also being a big fan of The Miz. Tonight, at The Barclays, it was tremendous clear who the favourite was.<\/p>\n<p>Spoilers: It wasn\u2019t Roman. Well, apart from the guy holding the &#8220;Sweat on me, Roman&#8221; sign. Something about that one makes me doubt it\u2019s supposed to be ironic.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve never had Roman sweat on me; I\u2019d probably drown.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, for the entire duration of the entrance themes, Roman is booed and The Miz is cheered. After that it\u2019s pretty much all positive for both men. This was a great crowd, to be fair.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2962739130\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LZ-4Cs-E3xU\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>At the close of the match, The Miz recaptures his Intercontinental Title. Surely by now it\u2019s time to give him his own personalised one with his own face on the front.<\/p>\n<p>Or a spinner, I mean, I\u2019m not judging. Some guys are into having Roman sweat on them; stranger things have happened.<\/p>\n<p>So Roman wasn\u2019t involved in much this week, but neither was anybody else. Roman avoided the dreaded Undertaker rematch; unless that\u2019s what Undertaker\u2019s promo meant of course. Who knows? Roman avoided the dreaded moment in which The Rock raises his wrist, or Triple H raises his wrist.<\/p>\n<p>Who\u2019s left, maybe Stone Cold? Maybe he could come out and give Roman \u201cThe Rub.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sooner Roman gets his UV Title, the better.
