AT ALLSTATE ARENA<br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>AIRS ON USA NETWORK, 8:00PM EDT<br \/>\nBY FRANK PETEANI, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Arena \/ Super Showdown Recap<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>WWE Raw returns to the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois for the first time since Christmas Day of last year.\u00a0 Who can forget the arena hosting WWE\u2019s NXT: Takeover and Money in the Bank this past year as well.\u00a0 We\u2019ll put Super Showdown behind us now and begin to turn our attention in a couple of directions.\u00a0 The all-women\u2019s PPV Evolution comes to us in less than three weeks on Oct. 28.\u00a0 The Saudi Arabian show, Crown Jewel, comes to us Friday Nov. 2.\u00a0 That show, of course, will not feature any of the WWE women.<\/p>\n<p>As of this writing <a href=\"http:\/\/wwe.com\/\">WWE.com<\/a> is not advertising any matches or segments for tonight, but rather follow up on the Super Showdown results from the Raw perspective.\u00a0 The Shield defeated Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler &amp; Drew McIntyre.\u00a0 Raw Women\u2019s Champion Ronda Rousey &amp; The Bella Twins defeated the Riott Squad.\u00a0 Bobby Lashley &amp; John Cena defeated Kevin Owens &amp; Elias.\u00a0 Triple H defeated the Undertaker in their \u201cLast Match Ever,\u201d and we certainly got some unexpected extra-curricular activity following the match.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Undertaker &amp; Kane Betrayal of Triple H &amp; Shawn Michaels<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Triple H, with his best friend Shawn Michaels in his corner, defeated the Undertaker who had Kane in his corner.\u00a0 This turned out to be the main event of Super Showdown.\u00a0 The match was announced as a no-DQ at the onset.\u00a0 All parties certainly got involved throughout the match.\u00a0 Several objects including tables, chairs, and Triple H\u2019s sledgehammer were used.\u00a0 Triple H &amp; Undertaker were out on the arena floor for several minutes at one point, and for some reason were not counted out.\u00a0 Anyway, in the end Shawn Michaels would hit sweet chin music on Undertaker followed by Triple H hitting his pedigree and scoring the pin fall.<\/p>\n<p>Following the match, Triple H &amp; Michaels showed respect for Undertaker &amp; Kane and vice versa.\u00a0 All four men raised each other\u2019s hand, leading us to believe the festivities were over.\u00a0 Undertaker gave Triple H his tombstone piledriver.\u00a0 He and Kane then put Michaels through a table to conclude the show.\u00a0 While WWE is not advertising any of these men for tonight, they will follow up on the situation no doubt with Crown Jewel looming.<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis:\u00a0 Daniel Bryan vs. Miz barely goes three minutes, but this goes nearly a half hour.\u00a0 Let\u2019s just think about that for a minute.\u00a0 The match was not good.\u00a0 Undertaker vs. Triple H should not main-event a PPV\/Network show in 2018. The dynamics are uber-confusing.\u00a0 Michaels is beloved, while Triple H\u2019s on-screen character is a heel.\u00a0 Undertaker &amp; Kane are beloved but acted like the heels during their post-match attack.\u00a0 I don\u2019t know for whom I should cheer.\u00a0 All signs are pointing to a tag team match at Crown Jewel.\u00a0 Is that the way we want to see Michaels return?\u00a0 I\u2019m not quite astute at international affairs, but Saudi Arabia hardly strikes me as a country in which he would want to perform for the first time in over eight years given his religious beliefs.\u00a0 Wouldn\u2019t it be better to spend a Michaels return on a match more worthwhile?\u00a0 Daniel Bryan, A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins as opponents would all be a million times more interesting to watch.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Ronda Rousey\u2019s Next Challenger<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Raw Women\u2019s Champion Ronda Rousey teamed with the Bella Twins, Nikki &amp; Brie to defeat the Riott Squad consisting of Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan.\u00a0 For the conclusion, Rousey put a double armbar on Morgan and Logan and got both women to tap out. \u00a0Following the match, Rousey and the Bellas celebrated in the ring and had an exclusive interview with <a href=\"http:\/\/wwe.com\/\">WWE.com<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWE\/status\/1049026787580071936\">https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWE\/status\/1049026787580071936<\/a><\/p>\n<p>WWE announced that Rousey would defend her championship at Evolution against a challenger to be determined.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-119669711\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis:\u00a0 It had been rumored that Rousey would defend against Nikki Bella.\u00a0 Nothing during this match lead us in that direction.\u00a0 It\u2019s still not out of the realm of possibility.\u00a0 WWE may have wanted to save whatever they were doing to set the match up for Raw.\u00a0 Seeds for a turn on Nikki\u2019s part have been planted on TV recently.\u00a0 Another possibility is Ruby Riott, given her good showing against Ronda on last week\u2019s Raw.\u00a0 You can\u2019t rule out Nia Jax, given they didn\u2019t have a conclusion to their match at Money in the Bank.\u00a0 Ember Moon would be a solid opponent, and let\u2019s not forget Rousey\u2019s good friend Natalya.\u00a0 She did answer the open challenge not too long ago only to be thwarted by the Riott Squad.\u00a0 It would be nice to see some sort of legit way of determining the number one contender, as Smackdown has done recently with their championships.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Next Up for The Shield<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins &amp; Dean Ambrose) defeated Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler &amp; Drew McIntyre.\u00a0 During the match, it was teased that Ambrose could be turning on the Shield as they have done recently on Raw following Ambrose\u2019s return to WWE programming.\u00a0 At one point with Reigns and Rollins reeling in the ring, Strowman &amp; Ziggler &amp; McIntyre surrounded the ring \u201cShield\u201d style.\u00a0 Ambrose, who had laying on the floor, jumped onto the apron as well teasing he would join in on attacking Reigns and Rollins.\u00a0 That did not happen, as he went after Strowman.\u00a0 For the finish, Ambrose would hit his signature Dirty Deeds on Ziggler and score the pin fall for his team.\u00a0 The Shield celebrated their victory.<\/p>\n<p>Reigns will defend his Universal Champion at Crown Jewel in a triple threat match against former champion Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman.\u00a0 Rollins is still the reigning Intercontinental Champion, and thus a new challenger is likely in order.\u00a0 Dean Ambrose does not have a championship, but still stands beside his Shield \u201cbrothers.\u201d\u00a0 Ziggler &amp; McIntyre are the Raw Tag Team Champions, and thus they can expect new challengers as well.<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis:\u00a0 This match was just a continuance of the storyline these two factions have had recently, centered mostly around Ambrose\u2019s loyalty to the Shield.\u00a0 I would lean on Ambrose not turning right away, since they have teased it so heavily.\u00a0 I\u2019m not saying he won\u2019t turn.\u00a0 If it does happen, it will happen when things settle down and we least expect it.\u00a0 I don\u2019t expect Reigns to turn on the Shield, as WWE has been steadfast in keeping him babyface.\u00a0 Rollins turning on the Shield has been done already.\u00a0 For now, we can expect them to stay strong, while we start to see cracks in the alliance of Strowman, Ziggler &amp; McIntyre.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bobby Lashley &amp; Lio Rush to Boast Victory?<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Bobby Lashley &amp; John Cena defeated Kevin Owens &amp; Elias in tag team action at the Super Showdown.\u00a0 Lio Rush was not present in Lashley &amp; Cena\u2019s corner.\u00a0 Lashley did most of the work throughout the match, but hot-tagged Cena in to allow him to score the pin over Elias utilizing his \u201csixth move of doom,\u201d a jab to the chest.\u00a0 Lashley &amp; Cena celebrated their victory.\u00a0 Cena gave a short speech following the match, telling the crowd that WWE is home to him and he will never forget where he came from.\u00a0 He appreciated the people letting him perform (I thought it was WWE paying him, umm\u2026anyway).<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis:\u00a0 By the way, Cena sported a haircut that looked similar to JBL\u2019s.\u00a0 I can\u2019t take credit for this observation.\u00a0 It was my beautiful wife who pointed this out.\u00a0 I agree with her, but your mileage may vary.\u00a0 Hairstyles aside, I can do without Cena performing in WWE if he\u2018s going to spend not even a minute in the ring and basically squash Elias, a guy who\u2019s trying to establish his career.\u00a0 Say what you want about Triple H and Undertaker, but at least they go out there and perform like they care.\u00a0 Do me a favor WWE and don\u2019t put names on a show for the sake of putting names.\u00a0 Give me people that want to perform to the highest of their ability.\u00a0 With that said, Lashley and Owens will likely continue their feud, with Elias mixed in.\u00a0\u00a0 We can certainly expect trolling of the Chicago crowd on Elias\u2019s and Owens\u2019s part given the Cubs recent elimination from the MLB playoffs.\u00a0 We\u2019ll see if they generate the nuclear heat (I call it cheap heat) similar to what they got from the Seattle crowd last week discussing the \u2018Sonics departure.\u00a0 With Sami Zayn out of the picture, the Owens\/Elias alliance looks to remain on TV for the time being.\u00a0 <\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Other Items from Raw Last Week<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The B-Team defeated the Revival in another fluke victory.\u00a0 They were attacked by the Authors of Pain, flanked by Drake Maverick, following the match.\u00a0 The Revival continues to be pushed\/squashed\/push\/squashed.\u00a0 I don\u2019t understand why things are the way they are for such a good tag team, especially in what is a weak tag team division.<\/li>\n<li>Konnor of the Ascension defeated Bobby Roode, flanked by his tag team partner Chad Gable.\u00a0 Roode continues to be buried, although I\u2019ll remain hopeful this is leading to a heel turn.<\/li>\n<li>Bayley, with her Mixed Match Challenge partner Finn Balor in her corner, defeated Alicia Fox who had her partner Jinder Mahal in her corner.\u00a0 Balor continues to be a comedic figure.\u00a0 Mahal continues to be ice cold.\u00a0 It is hard not to be disappointed at the money WWE has left on the table with Bayley and Balor to this point.\u00a0 I even say Mahal is more useful.\u00a0 Wasn\u2019t he the WWE Champion last year?\u00a0 I mean there couldn\u2019t have been an ulterior motive with that, right?\u00a0 (#sarcasm) (#ItWasAllAboutTheIndiaShow) (#totalmisfire)<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Start Time &amp; Matches Advertised<\/strong><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The arena\u2019s website is advertising a start time of 6:30 p.m. local time (CDT) but don\u2019t specify when\u00a0 doors are opening.\u00a0 Like last week\u2019s arena, a six-man tag is advertised featuring The Shield vs. Braun Strowman &amp;
