Excerpt:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\">WWE has stayed relatively quiet until now, telling reporters last week that it was &#8220;monitoring the situation.&#8221; But the company said\u00a0in a quarterly earnings release Thursday\u00a0that it would &#8220;uphold its contractual obligations&#8221; and host the event as planned.\u00a0&#8220;WWE has operated in the Middle East for nearly 20 years and has developed a sizable and dedicated fan base,&#8221; the company said. &#8220;Considering the heinous crime committed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, the Company faced a very difficult decision as it relates to its event scheduled for November 2 in Riyadh.&#8221;<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>-Ronda Rousey spoke out in favor of WWE continuing with Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. &#8220;I&#8217;m a two-time Olympian, so I&#8217;m an idealist when it comes to sports.&#8221; she <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2018\/10\/26\/ronda-rousey-wwe-saudi-arabia-crown-jewel-evolution\/\">told TMZ<\/a>. &#8220;Nowhere else in the world would some man from Iraq and a little girl from Venice Beach be respecting each other and sharing space. Those restrictions have been lifted and should bring renewed interest to the company, which has seen most of its top names depart in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>-The above EVOLVE news means that EVOLVE Tag Team Champions Chris Dickinson &amp; Jaka will defend their titles against NXT\u2019s The Street Profits (Montez Ford &amp; Angelo Dawkins) live on iPPV on Oct. 14. The match was announced on WWE.com earlier today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwe.com\/shows\/wwenxt\/article\/street-profits-vs-evolve-tag-team-champions-chris-dickinson-jaka\">at WWE.com<\/a>.\u00a0The article also teases that other NXT talent might appear at EVOLVE 114.<\/p>\n<p>-Mustafa Ali of 205 Live will see his matches against DJZ on Nov. 9 at EVOLVE 115 and Darby Allin on Nov. 10 at EVOLVE 116 air live on iPPV as well. Kassius Ohno will also appear for EVOLVE in December at EVOLVE 117 on Dec. 15 and EVOLVE 118 on Dec. 16. His opponents are expected to be named soon.<\/p>\n<p>-Eli Drake faces Jeff Cobb for the Ring Warriors Grand Championship airing tomorrow morning (101\/27) at 8 a.m. ET, the culmination of a five-week tournament. The Ring Warriors press release states: &#8220;Cobb defeated Luke Hawx via countout and Wes Brisco with a Tour of the Islands, while Drake gave Alexander Hammerstone and Alex Chamberlain rides on the Gravy Train to advance to the finals.
