PAGEOT, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR<\/h3>\n<p><em>Commentary: Ian Riccaboni, Colt Cabana<\/em><\/p>\n<p>We opened with a wide shot of the arena.\u00a0 It looked quite full and the crowd was rambunctious.\u00a0 Our commentators ran down the top three matches and the cutest puppy in the puppy pile, Eli Isom, entered first.\u00a0 He was accompanied by Cheeseburger and Ryan Nova.\u00a0 They wore matching gear, including bandanas over their faces, and posed together in the ring.\u00a0 His opponent was Sea Of Honor tournament winner Flip Gordon, who appeared uninjured following a scary incident at\u00a0<em>Survival Of The Fittest\u00a0<\/em>on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) FLIP GORDON vs. ELI ISOM (w\/Cheeseburger &amp; Ryan Nova)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Even back and forth in the opening minutes as they tested each other.\u00a0 Cabana pointed out that Gordon was more serious and less smiles than usual, likely as a result of his ongoing feud with Bully Ray.\u00a0 Gordon chopped Isom to the mat at 3:30 and hit a running dropkick in the corner.\u00a0 Isom came back with some forearms and landed a saito suplex for a two-count.\u00a0 They traded roll-ups.\u00a0 Gutwrench German suplex from Isom for a near-fall.\u00a0 The crowd applauded.\u00a0 Falcon arrow from Gordon for a near-fall of his own.\u00a0 Springboard spear.\u00a0 Flip-5 ends it.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Flip Gordon in 8:00.<\/p>\n<p>-Burger and Nova encouraged Isom for the effort.\u00a0 Code of honor exchanged by Gordon and Isom.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Good little match.\u00a0 Isom&#8217;s slowly establishing himself and winning the crowds over while Gordon continues to use his Bully Ray feud to establish a more serious, focused Flip.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-The Bouncers&#8217; music hit and we cut to backstage.\u00a0 They had literally just left the bar and were heading straight to the ring.\u00a0 SCU did their usual shtick and hit their catchphrases in the ring.\u00a0 Daniels acknowledged this was the first time ROH had ever been in Maine.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-38445283\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><strong>(2) ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS SOCAL UNCENSORED (Frankie Kazarian &amp; Scorpio Sky w\/Christopher Daniels) vs. THE BOUNCERS (Beer City Bruiser &amp; Brian Milonas) \u2013 NON-TITLE MATCH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kaz and Bruiser started things off.\u00a0 Kaz and Sky worked together to knock Milonas off his feet and send Bruiser to the floor.\u00a0 Bruiser took out Kaz with a cannonball off the apron.\u00a0 Back body drop from Milonas.\u00a0 The heels isolated Kaz in their corner and Bruiser gnawed on his head.\u00a0 Sky tried to rally the fans.\u00a0 Hot tag to Sky.\u00a0 He caused Milonas\u00a0 to splash Bruiser in the corner and hit a double-stomp to Milonas&#8217; spine.\u00a0 Hurricanrana on Bruiser resulted in him spearing his own partner.\u00a0 As things broke down the Bouncers regained control.\u00a0 The Bouncers hit Last Call on Kaz but Sky narrowly broke up the pinfall.\u00a0 Sky knocked Bruiser off the top rope to the floor and he and Kaz hit a double-team powerbomb to Milonas who had been standing on the second turnbuckle.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: SCU in 8:45.<\/p>\n<p>-The Bouncers brought in four beers and offered two to the champs.\u00a0 They all clinked and drank.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Another good one.\u00a0 It might seem odd to have the big man tag team lose so often but their heavy drinking is an easy out for them.\u00a0 Should they ever decide to focus more on their wrestling careers and less on drinking they could easily turn things around.\u00a0 SCU have become one of the more popular babyface acts in the company, in part thanks to their increased profile on<\/em>\u00a0Being The Elite<em>.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Nova and Isom were in Cheeseburger&#8217;s corner for his match.\u00a0 They were introduced for the first time as Team 3S.\u00a0 This was news to Riccaboni and Cabana who weren&#8217;t sure what it meant or where it derives from.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION JEFF COBB vs. CHEESEBURGER (w\/Ryan Nova &amp; Eli Isom) \u2013 NON-TITLE MATCH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Burger tried for a side headlock but Cobb merely lifted him off.\u00a0 He waited patiently for Burger to try something else.\u00a0 He looked for a single leg takedown but Cobb just walked over to the ropes with him hanging off his leg.\u00a0 The referee made Burger break his hold.\u00a0 Burger tried for a hurricanrana and jumping back elbow to no avail.\u00a0 Cobb hit a reluctant chop at 2:45, feeling bad for having to do this.\u00a0 Burger leapt into a bear hug.\u00a0 Cobb with a standing dropkick to Burger sitting on the top turnbuckle.\u00a0 Cobb with a delayed vertical suplex to Burger from the second rope but Burger kicked out.\u00a0 He also avoided a standing moonsault from the champ.\u00a0 Running forearms from Burger and a stunner out of nowhere.\u00a0 Shotei!\u00a0 Springboard senton but Cobb kicked out.\u00a0 Cobb blocked another shotei and hit his patented spinning slam, then a Tour Of The Islands.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-875066853\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>WINNER: Jeff Cobb in 6:22.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Fun twist on the underdog v. monster story with the babyface Cobb being reluctant to hurt the lovable Cheeseburger before finally giving in.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-&#8220;The Big Dawg&#8221; Rhett Titus walked onto stage in his tiny trunks, covered in baby oil again like at\u00a0<em>Survival Of The Fittest<\/em>.\u00a0 He joined the commentary booth and claimed he lost his suit at the airport.\u00a0 #wheresLittleWilly?<\/p>\n<p>-Dalton Castle was back in his traditional robe and trunks for the first time since returning from injury.\u00a0 Ring announcer Bobby Cruise informed us that this is now a title match.\u00a0 Matt Taven carried &#8220;the real ROH world title&#8221; with him in addition to wearing his six-man title belt.\u00a0 Marseglia took a shot at Brent before the bell and Castle clubbed him with one of the Boys&#8217; fanny packs in response.\u00a0 Marseglia went down hard as Taven and O&#8217;Ryan questioned what was inside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) THE KINGDOM (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, &amp; TK O\u2019Ryan) vs. DALTON CASTLE &amp; THE BOYS (Dalton Castle, Brandon, &amp; Brent) \u2013 ROH WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Kingdom went after Taven&#8217;s back as he was still wearing athletic tape around his back and ribs.\u00a0 O&#8217;Ryan ran the ropes with Brandon in his arms.\u00a0 Castle hit some hard punches to the guts of Taven and O&#8217;Ryan.\u00a0 Marseglia was still out cold at ringside at 3:00.\u00a0 Castle took turns throwing the Boys over the top rope onto Taven and O&#8217;Ryan on the floor.\u00a0 They were successful seven times in a row.\u00a0 Castle peacocked in the ring but a red balloon floated into the air.\u00a0 Brent got sucked under the ring.\u00a0 Marseglia appeared from the other side and took out Castle and Brandon.\u00a0 He went crazy on Brandon to near-silence from the crowd.\u00a0 Bang-A-Rang from Castle but Taven and O&#8217;Ryan broke up the pin.\u00a0 Castle avoided Rockstar Supernova.\u00a0 Taven avoided Bang-A-Rang and hit him with just the tip (of his knee).\u00a0 Brent resurfaced from under the ring in a Freddy Krueger sweater.\u00a0 His right hand appeared to be possessed and he cleared house on the champions.\u00a0 He slashed Marseglia&#8217;s chest.\u00a0 &#8220;What have you become?&#8221; Castle cried.\u00a0 He ripped the sweater off.\u00a0 Taven and Castle brawled to ringside and up the aisle.\u00a0 Marseglia and O&#8217;Ryan hit House Of A Thousand Horses on one of the Boys for the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: The Kingdom in 9:19 to retain the six-man titles.<\/p>\n<p>-Taven took a mic and heckled Castle.\u00a0 Apparently they&#8217;re facing each other in a singles match at\u00a0<em>Final Battle.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Nice to see Castle back to almost-full strength.\u00a0 I assume their PPV match will be for Taven&#8217;s fake world title.\u00a0 They&#8217;re doing a long, slow burn on the road to Taven&#8217;s first real world title reign.\u00a0 Mark my words, it will happen sometime in 2019.\u00a0 In the meantime it leaves the door open for either Cody, Kenny King, Marty Scurll, or Flip Gordon to challenge Lethal at\u00a0<\/em>Final Battle<em>.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Titus headed backstage to apply more baby oil.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) THE ELITE (Cody &amp; Adam Page w\/Brandi Rhodes) vs.\u00a0THE BRISCOES (Jay Briscoe &amp; Mark Briscoe)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Page and Mark started.\u00a0 The feed went down for a couple minutes.\u00a0 Near the end of the match Cody reversed an Irish whip by Mark.\u00a0 Brandi was on the apron for some reason and was bumped to the floor.\u00a0 She went down like she was made of glass.\u00a0 Page cleared both Briscoes and hit a top rope moonsault onto the brothers on the floor.\u00a0 CrossRhodes from Cody to Mark but Jay broke up the pin.\u00a0 Page tried for a second rope Rite Of Passage but on Mark but Jay made the save.\u00a0 Jay Driller to Page + froggy-bow from Mark sealed it.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: The Briscoes in ???.<\/p>\n<p>-Brandi was back to her feet and she and Cody checked on Page.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective: Due to some circumstances in my home and the feed going down I missed the first section of that match and don&#8217;t have an accurate time.\u00a0 Too bad because this was t<\/em><em>he first match of the night where it wasn&#8217;t obvious who would win.\u00a0 The Briscoes are expected to get a rematch for the tag titles at\u00a0<\/em>Final Battle<em>, though, so they needed it more.\u00a0 If The Elite are leaving ROH soon, as it seems, they should hopefully be putting a lot of people over on their way out.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Riccaboni acknowledged that there was a power outage in the building during the last match, which was the cause of their feed going down.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(6) JUICE ROBINSON vs. \u201cTHE FALLEN ANGEL\u201d CHRISTOPHER DANIELS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Daniels had tape on the back of his neck.\u00a0 The commentators vaguely said it was a result of something that happened at the TV tapings but we likely won&#8217;t find out what occurred for another month or so.\u00a0 An STO from Daniels was the start of his first sustained run of offense.\u00a0 He locked in a Koji clutch but Robinson reached the bottom rope with his foot.\u00a0 \u00a0Slow moving until Robinson hit a spinebuster at 7:30.\u00a0 A couple of lariats put down Daniels.\u00a0 Cannonball in the corner.\u00a0 Daniels with a blue thunder bomb.\u00a0 Daniels got crotched when he tried going up top.\u00a0 Robinson made a move to the top rope himself and the same happened to him.\u00a0 They traded right hands.\u00a0 Robinson hit Pulp Friction.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Juice Robinson in 12:08.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 A little slow and a little boring as a result, likely due to Daniels&#8217; age.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t mean that to sound insulting.\u00a0 It&#8217;s simply a fact.\u00a0 People leveled the same criticisms at the\u00a0<\/em>WWE Crown Jewel\u00a0<em>main event last week and Daniels is only a year younger than the youngest of those four men.\u00a0 If the Joe Koff storyline that we started back in January is heading where I suspected it was back then Daniels may be retired within the next six weeks.\u00a0 If so, viewing this under the lens of a reunion tour, we can be a bit more forgiving.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Silas Young entered alone first for our penultimate match.\u00a0 Bully Ray was out second.\u00a0 He bullied ring announcer Bobby Cruise and the fans.\u00a0 Riccaboni claimed Ray has a bulletproof contract that makes him basically impossible to fire.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(7) THE YOUNG BUCKS (Matt Jackson &amp; Nick Jackson) vs. BULLY RAY &amp; \u201cTHE LAST REAL MAN\u201d SILAS YOUNG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Young and Nick started.\u00a0 Quick tags in and out as the Bucks worked over Young.\u00a0 Ray tagged in and pie-faced Matt on the apron.\u00a0 Matt tagged in.\u00a0 Ray powered him down at 3:15.\u00a0 \u00a0Body slam.\u00a0 Matt avoided a chop and hit some arm drags.\u00a0 Stereo suicide dives to Ray and Young.\u00a0 Ray dragged Matt crotch-first into the ring post.\u00a0 Young got some shots in on the floor and Ray told the ref to count him out.\u00a0 &#8220;Yankees suck&#8221; chant from the crowd.\u00a0 Ray and Young isolated Matt.\u00a0 Matt fired up with a spear at 9:20 and made the hot tag but referee Paul Turner missed it due to the machinations of Ray.\u00a0 He sent Nick back out to the apron and Ray dragged Matt back to the heel corner.\u00a0 Top rope hurricanrana from Matt.\u00a0 Sidewalk slam from Ray.\u00a0 Matt finally made a tag at 11:20 as did Young.\u00a0 Nick was a house of fire on Young.\u00a0 Young came back with some of his signature offense but Nick hit a superkick.\u00a0 Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring.\u00a0 Ray broke up the hold and ate a double superkick from both Bucks.\u00a0 The ROH feed went down again.\u00a0 When it came back Young was being announced as a winner.\u00a0 Matt was on his back and holding his crotch so presumably the finish was low blow-related.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Ray &amp; Young in 16:30ish.<\/p>\n<p>-Cabana took a small victory in the fact that it was Young who got the win and not Ray.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Ray&#8217;s constant jawing with his opponents and fans is really engaging.\u00a0 The nuclear heat he&#8217;s achieved this year deserves the utmost credit.\u00a0 It&#8217;s very difficult for anyone with a\u00a0r\u00e9sum\u00e9 like his, who has been around as long as he has, to not be cheered by the fans.\u00a0 And early on in this run he was, with people calling for tables and chanting E-C-dub.\u00a0 These days, though, it&#8217;s almost universally negative toward him with ROH really prolonging the moment when he finally gets his comeuppance.\u00a0 It has to come at\u00a0<\/em>Final Battle<em>.\u00a0 As for the Bucks it&#8217;s very unusual for them to not be involved in a title picture and they have no obvious match for<\/em>\u00a0Final Battle <em>at this point.\u00a0 Where they slot into the card will be interesting and might just end up being a match against a guest team as they&#8217;ve already beaten everyone on the ROH roster at this point.<\/em>)<\/p>\n<p>-Riccaboni again apologized about the power outages.\u00a0 They weren&#8217;t sure whether it was an issue in the building or Lewiston-wide.<\/p>\n<p>-Evil entered first for the main event.\u00a0 Bushi joined him on the stage, then Sanada, and finally Naito.\u00a0 Gresham was out first for their opponents, then Sabin, Kushida, and Lethal last.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(8) ROH WORLD CHAMPION JAY LETHAL, IWGP JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION KUSHIDA, CHRIS SABIN, &amp; JONATHAN GRESHAM vs. LOS INGOBERNABLES DE JAP\u00d3N (Tetsuya Naito, Sanada, Bushi, &amp; Evil)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gresham and Naito started for their teams.\u00a0 Naito immediately tagged out to Sanada.\u00a0 Gresham blocked the paradise lock.\u00a0 Tags to Sabin and Evil.\u00a0 Bushi took a cheap shot from behind.\u00a0 Sabin cleared him but Evil got a shot in.\u00a0 Kushida and Sabin hit the old Motor City Machine Guns&#8217; dream sequence on Naito.\u00a0 Lethal and Gresham body slammed each other onto Evil.\u00a0 Everyone tagged in and out to take turns wrenching on and twisting Evil&#8217;s arm.\u00a0 Evil pulled referee Todd Sinclair into Kushida&#8217;s path.\u00a0 He avoided a collision but L.I.J. used the distraction to jump the other men at ringside.\u00a0 Naito worked over Kushida.\u00a0 Bushi choked him with his shirt behind Sinclair&#8217;s back.\u00a0 Sanada put Kushida in the paradise lock and dropkicked him free.\u00a0 Sanada cleared the apron to prevent Kushida from making a tag.\u00a0 Hot tag to Lethal at 11:06.\u00a0 He cleared all of L.I.J. and Sabin and Kushida took out Evil and Sanada with flips off the apron.\u00a0 Sanada avoided Lethal Injection and hit an anarchist suplex.\u00a0 Bushi and Gresham tagged in.\u00a0 Stunner, enziguiri, German suplex from Gresham.\u00a0 Octopus on Bushi.\u00a0 Lethal and Sabin tried to play defense but Evil slipped in to break it up.\u00a0 Everyone took turns hitting their finishing moves concluding with a Destino from Naito to Gresham.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: L.I.J. in 16:46.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Standard multi-man ROH main event.\u00a0 Gresham&#8217;s being treated like a bigger star than he used to be simply by being allowed to hang in there with some of the top names from New Japan.\u00a0 Hopefully 2019 is finally his true breakout year.\u00a0 As to the other seven, like most NJPW guest appearances this was more about simply letting the locals see some NJPW talent compete than it was about any sort of stories or card progression.\u00a0 It&#8217;s highly unlikely L.I.J. winning here will mean anything a week from now.)<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Find Harley on Twitter <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/talkinghonor\">@talkinghonor<\/a> and listen to he and Emily Fear talk all things ROH every Tuesday on the PWTorch Livecast \u201cTalking Honor.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"pwtor-end-article-groups pwtor-entity-placement\" id=\"pwtor-654674556\"><div id=\"pwtor-4170589331\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\nTHANK YOU FOR VISITING<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>ROH GLOBAL WARS NOVEMBER 7, 2018 LEWISTON, ME AT ANDROSCOGGIN BANK COLIS\u00c9E AIRED ON ROH HONOR CLUB REPORT BY HARLEY R.
