EST<br \/>\nBY FRANK PETEANI (@FrankPeteani), PWTORCH SPECIALIST<\/h3>\n<p><em>Announcers: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, Renee Young<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Arena, TLC Announcements, and Items Advertised by WWE<\/h3>\n<p>WWE returns to the Toyota Center in Houston, TX for this evening\u2019s Raw after appearing in this arena in June of this year. \u00a0Last year\u2019s Survivor Series weekend also took place here which featured the first iteration of NXT: Takeover WarGames. \u00a0We continue to focus and get ready for TLC, which comes to us in just under two weeks on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from San Jose, CA.<\/p>\n<p>Some matches have been added to the TLC card since WWE programming last week. \u00a0They are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elias vs. Bobby Lashley. \u00a0These two faced off in the opening match on Raw last week. \u00a0Lashley defeated Elias after \u201cGeneral Manager-Elect\u201d Baron Corbin restarted the match following Elias winning by DQ.<\/li>\n<li>Finn Balor vs. Drew McIntyre. \u00a0They faced off in the main event, but it wasn\u2019t the originally scheduled match. \u00a0It was supposed to be Balor vs. Baron Corbin for the 5,684th time it feels like recently. \u00a0During the match while Balor was gaining the advantage, Corbin made it a handicap match and introduced his partner in Drew McIntyre. \u00a0They went on to defeat Balor, and continued to beat him down with assistance from Bobby Lashley after the match. It appears as if a stable of sorts is forming with Lashley and McIntyre with Corbin as the lead, but it\u2019s not a 100 percent given.<\/li>\n<li>Smackdown Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Match: The Bar (Champions) vs. New Day vs. The Usos. \u00a0There have been different variations of matches between these teams as of late on Smackdown. \u00a0Last week the Usos defeated the Bar in a non-title match. \u00a0Let\u2019s not forget the long-standing feud between the Usos and New Day, as well as the Bar with feuds at different times with both teams. \u00a0The titles go up for grabs at TLC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here are the items of emphasis advertised by WWE.com, which includes a match involving Raw Women\u2019s Champion Ronda Rousey announced a few days ago:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Corbin closes in on General Manager position<\/li>\n<li>Inoculated Dean Ambrose promises he\u2019ll be at Raw<\/li>\n<li>The Goddess\u2019 new gig<\/li>\n<li>Rousey teams with the Queen of Harts to take on Nia Jax and Tamina<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Corbin closes in on General Manager position<\/h3>\n<p>For now, Baron Corbin will face Braun Strowman at TLC. \u00a0Strowman\u2019s shot at the Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble as well as Baron Corbin\u2019s general manager position are on the line.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Corbin decreed himself the \u201cGeneral Manager-Elect\u201d as he doesn\u2019t anticipate that Strowman would be medically cleared for TLC. \u00a0In a video from the hospital during the opening segment, Strowman claimed otherwise. \u00a0Corbin went on say if Strowman can\u2019t make it he will win by forfeit, and have an inauguration in which he will remember who stood by him. \u00a0Everyone needs to decide if they want to be on the \u201cright side or wrong side\u201d of history. \u00a0Tonight, we follow up on this situation.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin is on for WWE TLC: Raw, Nov. 26, 2018\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/uM6l15_Hu9o?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0I\u2019m not sure how to look at this, but giving Alexa Bliss authority over the women\u2019s division could be a key to this. \u00a0If Strowman is good to go for TLC, I can\u2019t see him losing although stranger things have happened. \u00a0Alexa could be positioned as the next general manager if they want Corbin going back to full time wrestling. \u00a0If Strowman loses, Corbin would still be G.M., but they can figure out how to keep Strowman in the Universal Championship match in five minutes if they want. \u00a0All that said, I discussed earlier a faction could be forming with Corbin, McIntyre, and Lashley. \u00a0It feels somewhat thrown together, but what doesn\u2019t these days. \u00a0It was odd that nobody came out to help Elias or Balor during their respective beatdowns. \u00a0The heels right now seem to be dominating similar to the the way the nWo did in its early run in WCW in 1996, which isn\u2019t all that crazy considering the weak babyface side of the ledger. \u00a0I\u2019m going to assume if Corbin ends up becoming permanent G.M., guys like Balor and Elias won\u2019t be on the \u201cright side of history.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Quickly on Drew McIntyre, I\u2019m not keen on him being some sort of stooge for Corbin after beginning to establish himself as a potential top heel in recent weeks. \u00a0It took me a while but I got on board with what they were doing with him and Dolph Ziggler. \u00a0It could be to set up a potential babyface turn eventually, but we\u2019ll have to see evidence of that before we can believe it. \u00a0If Drew does turn, Corbin would be a good first heel for him to roll through before moving on to better things.<\/em><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-991719811\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<h3>Dean Ambrose Promises to be at Raw<\/h3>\n<p>At TLC, Dean Ambrose challenges Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Dean Ambrose was not at Raw for fear of getting sick. \u00a0He was seen in a doctor\u2019s office getting a series of shots, including a rabies shot in anticipation of being in Houston tonight. \u00a0He claimed Seth was lucky he wasn\u2019t there, otherwise he would have answered the open challenge for the IC belt which ended up being taken by Dolph Ziggler.<\/p>\n<p>After getting his shots, which included the distemper normally reserved for dogs, he vowed to be at Raw tonight to take Seth \u201cout of his misery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0I wish WWE would take us out of our misery having to listen to this garbage. \u00a0I\u2019m sorry but Dean turning on Seth should be a HUGE deal, and yet they\u2019ve reduced it to a pedestrian feud which includes Dean using canned heat trolling crowds and cities. \u00a0I want to know more why Dean has turned his back on his \u201cbrother.\u201d \u00a0I don\u2019t need to see the same comedic Dean who\u2019s just acting like an obnoxious jerk. \u00a0Do a pre-taped interview or something showing Dean unleashing his anger and issues with Seth. \u00a0The Shield is undoubtedly the most popular faction of this time period, and its breakdown should not be explained with bd comedy on Dean\u2019s part. By the way, were those shots covered under WWE\u2019s health insur\u2026.oh, wait never mind.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>One thing I saw on Twitter was Seth discussing the open challenge Dolph Ziggler answered. \u00a0It\u2019s rumored he may be going against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania. \u00a0Part of his tweet talked about being a \u201cchampion Raw deserves.\u201d \u00a0Here it is, and I only point it out thinking it could be an initial shot across the bow at Lesnar:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/OpenChallenge?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#OpenChallenge<\/a> was a big win. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HEELZiggler?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@HEELZiggler<\/a> stepped up and so did the Milwaukee crowd. That\u2019s the person I love being and that\u2019s the champion <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Raw?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Raw<\/a> deserves.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Seth Rollins (@WWERollins) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWERollins\/status\/1067517416844996613?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 27, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3>The \u201cGoddess\u201d Alexa Bliss\u2019s New Gig<\/h3>\n<p>General Manager-Elect Baron Corbin has just gotten through \u201cfiring\u201d a backstage hand. \u00a0Alexa Bliss came over and congratulated him on getting rid of \u201cdead weight,\u201d and offered her services if there was anything she could do. \u00a0Corbin gave her the job of overseeing the women\u2019s division on Raw. \u00a0In an awkward moment, he said \u201cyou look good, I look good, it\u2019s that simple\u201d and then shook hands.<\/p>\n<p>In her fact act, Alexa decided to have an open forum with Bayley and Sasha Banks, giving fans the opportunity to ask them questions. \u00a0The fan \u201cchosen\u201d asked Sasha what she would change about the women\u2019s division. \u00a0She said she would ship Alexa back to Smackdown. \u00a0Alexa then tried to stir trouble between Bayley and Sasha to which Bayley said she would ship Alexa to \u201chell.\u201d \u00a0What would ensue is Mickie James, Alicia Fox, and Dana Brooke attacking Bayley and Sasha.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, we see more of Alexa as she settles in to her new job.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2225400760\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0Bayley joked about Alexa doing another \u201cThis Is Your Life\u201d segment, to which Alexa said no. \u00a0To tell you the truth after watching that I think I would have preferred This Is Your Life. \u00a0The only thing that was accomplished was potentially stirring trouble between Sasha and Bayley by Alexa. \u00a0After seeing trouble between those two earlier in the year, I don\u2019t know that anyone needs to see it again. \u00a0As far as Alexa getting this \u201cgig,\u201d I think an on-screen managerial position is perfect for her especially if she can\u2019t wrestle. \u00a0It\u2019ll be interesting to see what they do in the Strowman-Corbin match. \u00a0As I said earlier, Alexa could be made full time G.M. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I have to point out one small detail. Dana Brooke teamed with Bayley and Sasha in a ten-woman tag at Starrcade two days prior to Raw last week. \u00a0Why is she suddenly a heel? \u00a0Nobody cares about Dana Brooke but these little things are still quite frustrating.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Ronda Rousey &amp; Natalya vs. Nia Jax &amp; Tamina<\/h3>\n<p>Hallelujah, I can talk about a match. \u00a0Just a few days ago, WWE announced this match for Raw tonight:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">THIS MONDAY, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/RAW?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#RAW<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/WomensChampion?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#WomensChampion<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RondaRousey?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RondaRousey<\/a> will team with <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NatbyNature?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@NatbyNature<\/a> to take on the team of @NiaJaxWWE &amp; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TaminaSnuka?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TaminaSnuka<\/a>! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/SKCMLVCRP1\">https:\/\/t.co\/SKCMLVCRP1<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/mhpxeccsPv\">pic.twitter.com\/mhpxeccsPv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; WWE (@WWE) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWE\/status\/1068581136585101312?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 30, 2018<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Nia Jax will challenge Ronda Rousey at TLC for the Raw Women\u2019s Championship. \u00a0This is the second time Ronda and Nia will square off for the title as they previously went at it in June at Money in the Bank, only Nia was champion at the time. \u00a0That match saw Alexa Bliss interfere and cash in her MITB contract to win the championship. \u00a0Last week, Nia came out with Tamina to discuss the upcoming contest. \u00a0She discussed how Ronda wasn\u2019t the same since the aforementioned match. \u00a0She went on to mock Ronda, and tout her recent accomplishments including winning the battle royal at Evolution and becoming the \u201cFacebreaker\u201d by knocking Smackdown Women\u2019s Champion Becky Lynch out of action.<\/p>\n<p>Ronda would came out and throw a few insults Nia and Tamina\u2019s way, and ultimately challenge Nia right then and there. \u00a0When Nia and Tamina surrounded Ronda, Natalya would come out, only to be attacked by the Riott Squad. \u00a0Here\u2019s the YouTube clip from the segment:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Ronda Rousey and Natalya fight off a Riott Squad ambush: Raw, Nov. 26, 2018\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/DOqRLd4X_e8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Tonight, Ronda and Natalya face Nia and Tamina.<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0I found this promo to be overacted, and annoyed me to watch it more than anything. \u00a0More importantly, Nia did not tell the story accurately. \u00a0Saying Ronda hasn\u2019t been the same since their MITB match doesn\u2019t make sense considering she won the Raw Women\u2019s Championship. \u00a0What she could have said was something along the line of \u201cyou may have won the championship, but you never beat me in our match.\u201d \u00a0Now that may undermine Alexa Bliss considering that\u2019s who Ronda beat for the title, but she ended up undermining Ronda in her promo. \u00a0That reduces the value of Nia defeating Ronda if she is lined up to win the championship. \u00a0Ronda was good in her retort, although getting into \u201cwarrior culture\u201d feels like a line and not something she\u2019d come up with. \u00a0I could be wrong there, but nonetheless calling Tamina a monolithic mute was quite amusing. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>One thing to look for is how Ronda and Natalya get along. \u00a0We\u2019ve heard for a while the potential of Natalya turning on Ronda which likely got halted in the wake of her father Jim \u201cThe Anvil\u201d Neidhart\u2019s passing. \u00a0I\u2019m not predicting a turn tonight, but it\u2019s just something to which we should pay attention.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Other Items From Last Week:<\/h3>\n<p>\u2022AOP retains. \u00a0AOP retained their Raw Tag Team Championship over Chad Gable and Bobby Roode. \u00a0During the match Drake Maverick stole Roode\u2019s robe. \u00a0He was seen in the bathroom putting it in a toilet and urinating on it. \u00a0This froze Roode from doing anything which lead to AOP double teaming him and getting the win. \u00a0This was another embarrassing segment on this poorly constructed show.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Lucha House rules reign supreme. \u00a0The Lucha House party defeated the Revival in a match contested under \u201clucha house rules\u201d which meant three-on-two. \u00a0I have nothing. \u00a0We get it Vince, you have no use for tag teams. \u00a0I\u2019m sorry but some of us still care about this division.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Ember and Jinder win. \u00a0In consecutive matches, Ember Moon defeated Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal defeated No Way Jose. \u00a0Fox and Jinder are team \u201cMahalicia\u201d in the Mixed Match Challenge.<\/p>\n<h3>Quick News Items<\/h3>\n<p>\u2022Titus O\u2019Neill was recognized as an MVP on the 2018 EBONY power list. \u00a0Look for WWE to recognize this honor for one of their very fine human beings. \u00a0Congratulations are in order for Titus.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Congratulations to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TitusONeilWWE?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@TitusONeilWWE<\/a> who has been recognized as an MVP for the 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/EBONYPower100?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#EBONYPower100<\/a> List!
