The original property owner\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">made a significant profit &#8211; $15 million purchase in 2012 and $5 million in renovations turned into a $34.5 million sale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Basically everything with us is timing,&#8221; seller Ben Mallah\u00a0said. &#8220;We buy assets and fix them up. The market is high right now. Tampa&#8217;s hot &#8230; Hogan&#8217;s (scandal) had nothing to do with it. He was fine. Ultimately, we&#8217;re in the real estate business, not in the restaurant business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oct. 16 Update:<\/strong> &#8220;Hogan&#8217;s Beach&#8221; has been closed to be turned into a different establishment unaffiliated with Hulk Hogan, <a href=\"http:\/\/home.tampabay.com\/news\/business\/hogans-beach-to-be-re-branded-without-ties-to-hulk-hogan\/2250079\" target=\"_blank\">reports the Tampa Bay Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The owner of the property said they &#8220;had a two-and-a-half-year run with that brand,&#8221; and &#8220;it&#8217;s time for a new brand&#8221; on the property.<\/p>\n<p>The Times reports the adjoining hotel would also be re-branded with\u00a0the former Hogan establishment.<\/p>\n<p>***<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2623925455\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>The bar\/restaurant that Hulk Hogan lent his name to has reportedly shut down in Florida.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hogan&#8217;s Beach Shop&#8221; suddenly shut down and the website was disabled before the start of what should have been a busy weekend at the establishment. (<a href=\"http:\/\/prowrestling.net\/article.php?Dot-Net-News-Hulk-Hogan-themed-restaurant-closes-44445\" target=\"_blank\">Prowrestling.net<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Hogan just talked about the establishment <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.co.uk\/news\/local\/exclusive-hulk-hogan-talks-wwe-and-expendables-4-1-7515790\" target=\"_blank\">in an interview with the U.K. Star<\/a> promoting his one-man show in England next month.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0bar\/restaurant\/club\/shop came under local scrutiny for noise complaints over the past year.
