PAGEOT, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR<\/h3>\n<p><em>Commentary:\u00a0 Caprice Coleman, Nick Aldis<\/em><\/p>\n<p>NWA World&#8217;s Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis checked in on commentary with his valet Kamille standing behind him.\u00a0 Aldis was joined by Caprice Coleman as Ian Riccaboni is at home for the weekend waiting on the impending birth of his second child and Colt Cabana is in action tonight.<\/p>\n<p>-Rhett Titus posed in the ring with his fitness survivor trophy.\u00a0 Jay Briscoe made his entrance.\u00a0 Titus told him to calm down and called him a fat ass like the fans in the crowd.\u00a0 The fans chanted &#8220;Jay&#8217;s going to kill you.&#8221;\u00a0 Titus said he was here to help Briscoe and invited him to join The Flex Express. He flexed.\u00a0 Titus pulled out a bottle of baby oil and offered to rub down Briscoe.\u00a0 Briscoe kicked him in the face instead.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPION JAY BRISCOE vs. RHETT TITUS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Briscoe beat Titus around the ringside area to start.\u00a0 He hit a Jay Driller to a round of applause for the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Jay Briscoe in 5:32.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 The advertised match was Briscoe vs. Brody King.\u00a0 If they offered any explanation as to why that was changed I missed it.\u00a0 The pre-match promo was so misguided.\u00a0 Briscoe is one of the few actual heels in ROH at the moment and part of the top heel stable.\u00a0 Why would you have an enhancement wrestler go out and insult the fans, thus implicitly encouraging them to back Briscoe?\u00a0 I don&#8217;t get it.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) DALTON CASTLE &amp; THE BOYS (Dalton Castle, Brandon, &amp; Brent) vs. SHINOBI SHADOW SQUAD (Cheeseburger, Eli Isom, &amp; Ryan Nova)<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-875847929\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Castle and Nova started.\u00a0 They wrestled to a stalemate.\u00a0 Isom tagged in.\u00a0 Castle tagged out to Brent but then immediately tagged back in.\u00a0 Brandon eventually tagged in and got worked over by 3S.\u00a0 The Boys pulled twin magic to regain the advantage.\u00a0 Castle hit a gutwrench slam on Burger.\u00a0 Team Castle worked over Burger until he made the hot tag at 10:15.\u00a0 Isom cleared house.\u00a0 Castle insisted on tagging in and put down Isom with a boot.\u00a0 Brandon hit a blind tag and a springboard dropkick.\u00a0 Castle yelled at Brandon for tagging himself in and demanded he tag back.\u00a0 Both Boys got knocked off the apron and Isom hit a brainbuster to pin the former world champion.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Shinobi Shadow Squad in 12:15.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Yikes.\u00a0 Castle is really in trouble.\u00a0 His losing streak continuing is bad enough but getting pinned by a rookie is even worse.\u00a0 The commentators spent most of the match questioning if there&#8217;s trouble in the Castle household.\u00a0 All signs point to a heel turn but Dalton Castle as a heel?\u00a0 How?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) ZACK SABRE JR. vs. COLT CABANA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sabre ignored the code of honor request so Cabana shook the hand of referee Paul Turner instead.\u00a0 Cabana was able to chain-wrestle Sabre down to the mat twice in the opening minutes, which perturbed Sabre.\u00a0 Cabana rolled through on Sabre and backed him into the ropes, getting into his face.\u00a0 Cabana&#8217;s mind games continued to fluster Sabre.\u00a0 Cabana put Sabre into a surfboard before taking his hands away and essentially holding Sabre into the air like a small child.\u00a0 He slammed him down on his rear and you could hear Cabana ask, &#8220;How&#8217;s your ass?&#8221;\u00a0 After some more chain-wrestling Sabre nailed Cabana with an uppercut.\u00a0 He hit four more and a headbutt to the midsection.\u00a0 Cabana put him down with a big swing.\u00a0 They traded pinning combinations.\u00a0 Cabana locked in Billy Goat&#8217;s Curse at 10:00 but Sabre escaped and they traded more pin attempts.\u00a0 More uppercuts from Sabre but another big strike from Cabana put him back down.\u00a0 Running European uppercut from Sabre in the corner and a kick to the chest.\u00a0 Cabana caught him with a punch.\u00a0 A series of jabs left Sabre punch-drunk.\u00a0 Sabre leapt into a triangle choke.\u00a0 Cabana powered up but Sabre stayed on and took him back down.\u00a0 Cabana tapped.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Zack Sabre Jr. in 13:07.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Fantastic match and the best Cabana match in ROH in years. This is the Cabana that I&#8217;ve argued could be a valuable uppercard player in ROH, even if just on a part-time basis.\u00a0 Sabre wrestling from underneath the whole match was unexpected but fun.\u00a0 Sabre&#8217;s on a strong winning streak in ROH and I would not be surprised if he ends up challenging for the TV title or even the world title at Madison Square Garden.\u00a0 And kudos to Aldis and Coleman as well.\u00a0 They&#8217;ve been very good on commentary with a real old school quality to their back and forth.\u00a0 If Aldis doesn&#8217;t transition to a broadcast role after retiring from in-ring competition I&#8217;ll be very surprised.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) \u201cTHE VILLAIN\u201d MARTY SCURLL vs. KENNY KING vs. NWA NATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION WILLIE MACK vs. \u201cTHE LAST REAL MAN\u201d SILAS YOUNG \u2013 NON-TITLE MATCH<\/strong><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-630801115\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Scurll and Mack worked together early on to take out King and then Young.\u00a0 The babyfaces squared off temporarily but the heels dragged them to ringside.\u00a0 Young and King picked up their long TV title rivalry from last year.\u00a0 Mack and Scurll returned to take out the heels.\u00a0 Mack hit a top rope crossbody onto all three men in the ring and followed with a flip over the ropes onto them at ringside.\u00a0 Young looked for the Milwaukee Plunge on King but Mack superkicked him in the face as he posed upside down in the corner.\u00a0 King hit a springboard blockbuster on Mack but Young broke it up.\u00a0 Scurll catapulted King into a right hand from Mack.\u00a0 Mack followed with a senton onto King across Scurll&#8217;s knees.\u00a0 Scurll and Mack exchanged chops.\u00a0 You could see a cloud of sweat come off Mack&#8217;s chest.\u00a0 They traded strikes.\u00a0 Scurll stomped on Mack&#8217;s fingers but the heels prevented him from snapping his hand.\u00a0 King got his knees up on another Milwaukee Plunge attempt from Young.\u00a0 Scurll locked Young in the chicken-wing.\u00a0 King jumped into the ring with a steel chair.\u00a0 The referee grabbed the chair, missing Young tapping to Scurll.\u00a0 King hit a low-blow on Scurll and rolled him up with a handful of tights.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Kenny King in 11:17.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Fun one.\u00a0 Often they avoid heel vs. heel fighting in matches like this but with Young and King feuding for so long last year it was only logical that they&#8217;d take any opportunity to go at each other in this one.\u00a0 I really appreciate that attention to detail.\u00a0 King stealing the win over Scurll was somewhat surprising.\u00a0 All assumptions have Scurll cashing in his\u00a0<\/em>Survival Of The Fittest\u00a0<em>title shot to challenge Jay Lethal for the world title at the\u00a0<\/em>17th Anniversary Show\u00a0<em>next month so I don&#8217;t know what King&#8217;s victory over him here means going forward.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) JEFF COBB vs. ROCKY ROMERO \u2013 ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Romero tried for waistlocks and suplexes but he couldn&#8217;t budge the big man.\u00a0 He landed an eye poke, though.\u00a0 Romero dropkicked Cobb off the apron but Cobb caught him on a splash over the ropes.\u00a0 Romero ran Cobb arm-first into the ring post and hit a running knee off the apron.\u00a0 Romero with a springboard dropkick.\u00a0 He looked for a cross armbreaker on the injured arm but Cobb powered out.\u00a0 Cobb also shrugged off a hurricanrana attempt and hit a powerslam.\u00a0 Cobb with a body slam and standing moonsault.\u00a0 Romero hit his four running clotheslines in the corner and nailed sliced bread for a near-fall.\u00a0 He went for another sliced bread but Cobb turned it into a backbreaker.\u00a0 Romero with a hurricanrana for a two-count.\u00a0 Palm strikes from Romero but Cobb threw him into the corner.\u00a0 Belly to belly suplex.\u00a0 German suplex.\u00a0 Tour Of The Islands.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Jeff Cobb in 14:18 to retain the TV title.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Very solid and the longest match Cobb has had in ROH to date.\u00a0 He&#8217;s still a beast but they&#8217;ve scaled back a bit on him being invincible, which will make for better drama in his other matches going forward.\u00a0 Cobb is now 12-0 in ROH.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(6) \u201cTHE GATEKEEPER\u201d KELLY KLEIN (w\/Camp Klein) vs. ARTIST OF STARDOM CHAMPION MAYU IWATANI (w\/Sumie Sakai) \u2013 WOH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Iwatani connected with kicks.\u00a0 She tried for an Irish whip but Klein hung onto the ropes.\u00a0\u00a0Iwatani ran through her with more kicks.\u00a0 Klein locked in a cravat and hit some knees to the head.\u00a0 She tossed Iwatani into the guardrail.\u00a0 Klein sat on the top turnbuckle and choked\u00a0Iwatani off the ground.\u00a0 Flying headscissors sent Klein to the floor and\u00a0Iwatani hit a crossbody off the top rope onto her at ringside.\u00a0 Klein followed with a German suplex on the floor.\u00a0 Klein rolled in for the countout victory but\u00a0Iwatani returned at 17.\u00a0 They exchanged strikes.\u00a0 German suplex from\u00a0Iwatani.\u00a0 A roundhouse kick gave\u00a0Iwatani a two-count.\u00a0 Clothesline from Klein.\u00a0 Dragon suplex from\u00a0Iwatani.\u00a0 Another.\u00a0 Kick to the head.\u00a0 The champ kicked out at two.\u00a0 Shining wizard from\u00a0Iwatani.\u00a0\u00a0Iwatani nailed a top-rope moonsault for another two.\u00a0 She nailed a second one for the win!\u00a0 What?!?!<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Mayu Iwatani in 11:03 to capture the Women Of Honor title.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Holy shit!\u00a0 Klein just won the title in December and she&#8217;s been pushed so hard.\u00a0 Nobody saw this coming.\u00a0 Iwatani is the ace of Stardom so I thought her losing clean was unlikely but I had my money on Klein getting herself disqualified.\u00a0 I wasn&#8217;t even buying into any of the near-falls because I figured there was no way the match would end until Camp Klein got involved.\u00a0 They got me.\u00a0 This is huge for Women Of Honor as it gives them one of the best women&#8217;s wrestlers on the planet as champion and the best friend of NXT stars Kairi Sane and Io Shirai as the face of WOH.\u00a0 Or is this just a short reign before she loses the title back to Klein at Madison Square Garden?\u00a0 Let&#8217;s find out.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(7) LIFEBLOOD (IWGP United States Champion Juice Robinson, Tracy Williams, Bandido, &amp; Mark Haskins w\/Tenille Dashwood) vs. THE BOUNCERS &amp;\u00a0COAST 2 COAST (Beer City Bruiser, Brian Milonas, LSG, &amp; Shaheem Ali)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Haskins and Ali started for their teams.\u00a0 All eight men squared off at 5:45.\u00a0 The fans wanted the referee to make it an impromptu tornado tag match but instead he was able to convince the illegal wrestlers to leave.\u00a0 Robinson got the hot tag at 11:35.\u00a0 He took out all four opponents.\u00a0 Robinson tried to body slam Milonas but fell under the weight.\u00a0 Robinson rolled out of the way of a sit-down splash, though.\u00a0 LSG and Bandido tagged in.\u00a0 Bandido avoided a charge which saw LSG collide with Bruiser on the apron.\u00a0 Bandido with a twisting corkscrew splash off the top rope onto LSG in the ring.\u00a0 Ali with a sidekick and he splashed over the ropes onto Robinson.\u00a0 Haskins took him out with a kick but Bruiser hit a death valley driver onto the apron.\u00a0 Bandido dove off the top into\u00a0 a DDT on Milonas.\u00a0 LSG hit a 450 on Bandido but Robinson and Williams broke it up.\u00a0 No clue who the legal men were at this point.\u00a0 Bruiser looked for a crossbody but Bandido caught him in mid-air.\u00a0 Wow.\u00a0 Upside-down Go To Sleep and a 21plex on LSG gave Bandido the pinfall.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Lifeblood in 16:20.<\/p>\n<p>-Bruiser brought in a cooler and passed beers around to the eight men.\u00a0 Dashwood looked upset about being left out so she joined them.\u00a0 They all toasted.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective: Very high-energy multi-man match from the new Bullet Club.\u00a0 It took me a little to get into it because I was still buzzing off the previous match but the last few minutes there were crazy fun.\u00a0 We know that Robinson and co. are bonded in their desire to bring honor back to ROH but we need to hear from the rest of the crew sometime soon.\u00a0 I know Robinson&#8217;s motivations and he and Dashwood have been friends since their days in NXT but why did Haskins, Williams, and Bandido specifically want to come on board and join this faction?)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(8) ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPION MARK BRISCOE vs. PCO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It took a minute for both men to bring steel chairs into the ring.\u00a0 Referee Todd Sinclair warned them not to use them.\u00a0 Briscoe hit a blockbuster off the apron to PCO on the floor.\u00a0 PCO no-sold a bunch of offense and unloaded with chops to Briscoe in the corner.\u00a0 Cannonball through the ropes onto Briscoe at ringside.\u00a0 Briscoe dropped him throat-first across the guardrail.\u00a0 Cactus Jack elbow off the apron.\u00a0 PCO had a cut above his left eye.\u00a0 He went for a cannonball off the top rope onto Briscoe on the apron.\u00a0 Briscoe moved and PCO just thudded and bounced off the apron.\u00a0 Ugh.\u00a0 Briscoe hurled him into the guardrail.\u00a0 They brawled up the ramp to the stage.\u00a0 They traded chops on the stage.\u00a0 Sinclair followed and watched them.\u00a0 Briscoe powerbombed PCO onto the stage.\u00a0 Briscoe hit a knee that sent PCO tumbling backwards down the ramp stairs.\u00a0 Sinclair went back to the ring and suddenly decided to start counting them out now.\u00a0 Okay then.\u00a0 Briscoe re-entered the ring with PCO left for dead in the aisle.\u00a0 He sprinted back into the ring.\u00a0 Briscoe fetched another chair.\u00a0 He threw one in the ring.\u00a0 As Sinclair took it away Briscoe grabbed a second and threw it at PCO&#8217;s head.\u00a0 He connected with a second unprotected chair shot to the head.\u00a0 Briscoe hit a top rope elbow drop but PCO kicked out.\u00a0 Body slam from PCO.\u00a0 Top rope moonsault.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: PCO in 12:35.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 No thank you.\u00a0 I know a lot of people eat this stuff up but the unprotected chair shots to the head and Sinclair looking like a complete moron for watching them fight up the ramp for two minutes and then deciding to start counting was too much.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a shame because the PCO character is great and everything else in this match was solid.\u00a0 Cut out the head shots and book your referees to have some sort of logic and this would have been just as effective.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-As The Kingdom made their entrance a fan in the front row was mouthing off at them so Taven took his gum out of his mouth and shoved it in the fan&#8217;s mouth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(9) ROH WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE KINGDOM (Matt Taven, TK O\u2019Ryan, &amp; Vinny Marseglia) vs. ROH WORLD CHAMPION JAY LETHAL, \u201cTHE OCTOPUS\u201d JONATHAN GRESHAM, &amp; RUSH \u2013 NON-TITLE MATCH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gresham and Marseglia started.\u00a0 Things broke down with everyone brawling everywhere.\u00a0 The referee didn&#8217;t see Rush get DDTed onto a chair at ringside.\u00a0 He was also driven into the guardrail multiple times and head-first into the ring post.\u00a0 Taven dragged Rush by his hair (a sore spot for Taven where Rush is concerned) as The Kingdom isolated him in their corner.\u00a0 Tag to Gresham at 10:00.\u00a0 Tag to Lethal at 11:00.\u00a0 He hit his trio of suicide dives.\u00a0 Taven avoided Hail To The King but took a Lethal Combination.\u00a0 Just The Tip (of the knee) from Taven.\u00a0 Rush and Gresham blocked Rockstar Supernova.\u00a0 Three-way dropkick to O&#8217;Ryan but Marseglia broke up the pin.\u00a0 House Of A Thousand Horses to Rush, then again to Gresham.\u00a0 The Kingdom set up Lethal for Rockstar Supernova again but he fought out.\u00a0 Taven blocked a Lethal Injection and hit The Climax on Lethal for the pin.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: The Kingdom in 15:06.<\/p>\n<p>-Kenny King walked out and called Lethal a pathetic loser.\u00a0 Not him.\u00a0 He&#8217;s a winner.\u00a0 Everyone saw him whup Marty Scurll&#8217;s ass.\u00a0 He began to threaten Lethal but Scurll showed up and tackled him.\u00a0 O&#8217;Ryan and Marseglia jumped Scurll.\u00a0 Taven and Lethal brawled to ringside.\u00a0 Silas Young showed up, then PCO.\u00a0 Titus, Castle, and The Boys were next,\u00a0 Coast 2 Coast, Romero, Rhett Titus, The Bouncers, Willie Mack, 3S, Zack Sabre Jr., Bandido, Jeff Cobb, and maybe some others hit the ring as well.\u00a0 Everyone brawled until just referee Todd Sinclair was left in the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Bully Ray hit the ring and backed Sinclair into a corner.\u00a0 PCO grabbed Ray.\u00a0 They circled each other and threw hands.\u00a0 The Briscoes jumped PCO &#8220;like a plague.&#8221;\u00a0 PCO took out both tag champs and hit a top rope moonsault onto at least a dozen men at the foot of the ramp.\u00a0 Insane.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Well then.\u00a0 My assumption a week ago was Lethal-Scurll at the\u00a0<\/em>17th Anniversary Show\u00a0<em>but based on tonight it seems like it will be Lethal-Taven for the world title and Scurll-King instead.\u00a0 The locker room brawl at the end was goofy fun but just seemed to be a chaotic show-closing visual.\u00a0 It&#8217;s doubtful it actually sets up anything in particular.)<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Find Harley on Twitter <a
