\u00a0It\u2019s true that the McMahon characters have been underhanded through the years, but they haven\u2019t done anything to indicate Becky is going to get screwed out of this match. \u00a0The only thing Becky could be possibly calling on is after she earned the title match with Carmella at this past SummerSlam, Charlotte was given an opportunity to get into the match after coming off the injured list. \u00a0That never sat well with Becky. \u00a0As we recall Charlotte earned it, won the title that night, and got treated to a post-match attack by Becky which started the swell of her popularity. \u00a0If Charlotte is going to be cherry-picked into this match at WrestleMania, WWE\u2019s best bet is to make the fans believe they management wants her in and doesn\u2019t want Becky, but then Becky somehow gets back in late on. \u00a0The problem is, management has not indicated a desire to remove Becky.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Seth Rollins Response to Brock Lesnar<\/h3>\n<p>Two weeks ago we learned that 2019 Royal Rumble winner Seth Rollins will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania. \u00a0This will be their second televised one-on-one encounter for a world championship. \u00a0They last went at it at Battleground in 2015 when Rollins was WWE World Heavyweight Championship. \u00a0That match ended when the Undertaker returned and attacked Lesnar, setting up their SummerSlam main event for that year.<\/p>\n<p>That of course was then and this is now, and we have the obstacle of Seth Rollins dealing with a back injury that is not known to be serious. \u00a0He was treated to six F5s a few weeks ago and was not on Raw last week. \u00a0A video package was shown.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, Rollins addresses Lesnar as they get ready for their championship match coming up at WrestleMania.<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0You just hope that there\u2019s truth to the Rollins injury not being serious and can go at WrestleMania. \u00a0It would be wise not to wrestle him as much in the run-up to the show, but with low ratings and the amount of people currently on the shelf they may not have a choice. \u00a0They\u2019ll want to get him working as soon as practical. \u00a0Given Rollins\u2019 promo pre-Rumble, should he defeat Lesnar at WrestleMania it will be a special moment and we can expect his victory promo the night after to be just as great. \u00a0We should exercise caution given last year\u2019s unexpected Lesnar victory over Reigns and hope that doesn\u2019t happen here.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Finn Balor\u2019s Intercontinental Championship Pursuit<\/h3>\n<p>Last week, Finn Balor was to challenge Bobby Lashley for the Intercontinental Championship. \u00a0It was not originally advertised as a championship match.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2344118334\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Coming off Balor coming up short against Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship, Lashley made his way out to the ring with his manager Lio Rush. \u00a0He said he could beat Lesnar in his sleep, and thus Balor had no chance against him. \u00a0He told him if he can beat Lio, and entertain him enough, he would earn a championship match. \u00a0The match was on between Lio and Balor, under Lashley\u2019s approval, but not before Lashley attacked Balor.<\/p>\n<p>Balor defeated Lio with his Coup de Grace, and got out of the ring as Lashley made his way in. \u00a0Tonight, we find out if Balor has earned his Intercontinental Championship.<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0It\u2019s always better to build towards a championship match. \u00a0It\u2019s preferable to have them at a PPV, but it\u2019s understandable to have them on TV as well. \u00a0If they\u2019re trying to build towards a title match it\u2019s great, but Lashley having the ability to decide he doesn\u2019t want to defend his title is downright absurd. \u00a0Where was the great McMahon regime to weigh in on this decision? \u00a0Wrestlers can just back out of matches whenever they desire? \u00a0They would have been better served to advertise Lio vs. Balor ahead of time and build up that match during the show and weave that into a future title match. \u00a0They did accomplish planting a seed for a possible Lashley vs. Lesnar match down the line, if you\u2019re looking for the positive out of this.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Raw Women\u2019s Championship Announced: Ronda Rousey (champion) vs. Ruby Riott<\/h3>\n<p>Last week, Raw Women\u2019s Champion Ronda Rousey defeated Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan back to back. \u00a0She defeated Morgan in under a minute, and then called out the fans for booing her and wanted somebody to \u201cdo something.\u201d \u00a0She then took on Sarah Logan, and defeated her in about five minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Ruby Riott teased entering the ring and thought better of it, leaving to go to the back with her Riott Squad girls. \u00a0They were interviewed by Dasha Fuentes in Gorilla, and Riott revealed she didn\u2019t get in the ring because her girls need her.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, WWE announced that Riott will challenge Ronda for the Raw Women\u2019s Championship at Elimination Chamber. \u00a0Here\u2019s Ronda on Twitter:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A one woman riot is just a crazy lady running around in the street &#8211; @rubyriottwwe looking forward to seeing what you\u2019re made of without your minions <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/YaOnlyLivvOnce?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@yaonlylivvonce<\/a> and @sarahloganwwe See\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/uhMFDvdngc\">https:\/\/t.co\/uhMFDvdngc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ronda Rousey (@RondaRousey) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RondaRousey\/status\/1094282103347400704?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 9, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0It\u2019s interesting to see that the booing is getting to Ronda. \u00a0What doesn\u2019t help is her yelling at Becky for attacking Stephanie McMahon prior to going out for the match with Morgan. \u00a0Didn\u2019t Ronda have a mixed tag match and a feud with Stephanie upon her arrival into WWE last year? \u00a0When did things get all patched up? \u00a0It also doesn\u2019t help that now that WWE is teasing Becky not being in the WrestleMania match, the fans could be taking it out on Ronda. \u00a0There\u2019s also the thought that \u201cit\u2019s getting old\u201d with Ronda, and fans want to see their people have success. \u00a0We\u2019ve seen popular people like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, and Becky Lynch get beaten down through the years in favor of whom the company wanted to push. People have enough after a while. \u00a0Look at the ratings. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>As far as this match with Ruby, you can\u2019t expect her to win the title, so it\u2019ll be interesting to see what WWE tries to accomplish with this match. \u00a0They have worked together before on TV where Ruby had a good showing. \u00a0It wouldn\u2019t be surprising to see the crowd favor her over Ronda.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Dana Brooke vs. Natalya?<\/h3>\n<p>Two weeks ago, Dana Brooke teamed with Natalya and came up short against Liv Morgan &amp; Sarah Logan in their qualifier for the Women\u2019s Tag Team Championship match at Elimination Chamber.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Dana attempted to apologize to Natalya, but was given the silent treatment. \u00a0She then said she would ask the McMahons for a match with her to prove she\u2019s a better competitor. \u00a0As Dana walked out of the room, Natalya took off her AirPods and thus she likely didn\u2019t hear Dana at all.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ll find out tonight if this match takes place.<\/p>\n<p><em>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0Teasing this as a segment indicates they may think something of Dana Brooke; however, we\u2019ve seen them start &amp; stop with so many people through the years (see Mojo Rawley) it\u2019s hard to generate any enthusiasm for something like this. If she can\u2019t cut it in the ring, then find something else for her to do.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Next for Kurt Angle<\/h3>\n<p>Last week, Kurt Angle came out to discuss what has been happening him recently. \u00a0To recap he lost a match decisively to Drew McIntyre just before the holidays last year, was unceremoniously eliminated from the Royal Rumble after being in for a short period of time, and lost a match to Baron Corbin in about four minutes. \u00a0He discussed living by the three \u201cI\u2019s\u201d (Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence). \u00a0Given how things have gone recently, he said he has been been plagued by the three \u201cD\u2019s\u201d (Defeat, Doubt, and Depression).<\/p>\n<p>He mentioned there was one opponent he couldn\u2019t defeat and that was Father Time. \u00a0Baron Corbin interrupted followed by Drew McIntyre. \u00a0Corbin said Angle should have made this speech at the Hall of Fame two years ago and went away. \u00a0Drew said he sees fear in Angle\u2019s eyes as opposed to the warrior he once saw. \u00a0As they approached the ring to attack Kurt, Braun Strowman\u2019s music hit. \u00a0Strowman threw few into the ringpost while Angle threw Corbin out of the ring. \u00a0Corbin and Drew would retreat while Strowman and Angle would stand together.<\/p>\n<p>In the main event (is the last segment even the main event anymore?), Strowman &amp; Angle teamed to face Drew and Corbin. \u00a0Drew and Corbin would win via DQ when \u2026 yes this happened \u2026 Strowman, the illegal man in the ring attacked Drew after being warned by the referee. \u00a0Mind you, Drew broke up a pin attempt by Angle on Corbin, and thus Drew was illegal too.<\/p>\n<p>Tonight, we begin to find out what is next for Angle.<\/p>\n<p>Frank\u2019s Analysis: \u00a0Unless they are going to enforce this rule where a team is DQ\u2019d when the illegal man interferes, what they did last week was downright silly.<\/p>\n<p>As far as Angle is concerned it\u2019s hard to understand why they\u2019re making his situation so depressing. \u00a0Unless they\u2019re going to have him win some big match at an upcoming PPV and prove he\u2019s \u201cstill got it,\u201d doing this doesn\u2019t make a lot of sense. \u00a0An outside-the-box thought would be to form a team with Strowman and Angle and have them win the tag titles soon or even at WrestleMania. \u00a0WWE.com has an article up showing Angle\u2019s tag team partners through the years, which could be foreshadowing a partnership with Strowman that\u2019s more than a \u201cone-off.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealKurtAngle?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RealKurtAngle<\/a> has had a few rare <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TagTeam?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#TagTeam<\/a> partnerships in his day. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VuJEMF8WK6\">https:\/\/t.co\/VuJEMF8WK6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; WWE (@WWE) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/WWE\/status\/1094687500935802880?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 10, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h3>Other Possible Items for Tonight<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins talked about losing in their first match together a few weeks ago. \u00a0Hawkins alluded to his long losing streak while Ryder discussed how they didn\u2019t even spell his name right on TV. \u00a0Ryder said together they can stop being losers, and become winners. \u00a0Given the Revival won a fatal four-way tag match to earn another shot at champions Bobby Roode &amp; Chad Gable, it\u2019s hard to know where they\u2019ll get these guys a \u201cW.\u201d \u00a0Could Jinder Mahal &amp; one of the Singh Brothers be good fodder to give Ryder &amp; Hawkins a MAJOR victory? \u00a0;o)<\/li>\n<li>Another Moment of Bliss segment turned into a circus act. \u00a0Alexa Bliss\u2019s guest was EC3. \u00a0Alexa teased coming onto EC3 a little, but was interrupted by Nia Jax and Tamina. \u00a0They were then interrupted by Dean Ambrose, who alluded to Nia having a crush on him. \u00a0He then asked EC3 what happened to EC1 and 2. \u00a0After not allowing him to speak, EC3 went after Ambrose which lead to a match. \u00a0EC3 won in about three minutes with a leverage pin. \u00a0It appears Ambrose is in the \u201cjob-out\u201d role now, so look for a rematch tonight or perhaps something at Elimination Chamber. \u00a0Ambrose was scheduled to work an inter-gender match with Nia at a house show, but it is now off. \u00a0It has been speculated, but hard to know if they\u2019ll be doing an inter-gender match on TV\/PPV in the future. \u00a0EC3 vs. Ambrose on the Elimination Chamber kickoff show, a rematch tonight, or both for that matter wouldn\u2019t be severely unexpected.<\/li>\n<li>Mojo Rawley was seen talking to himself in the mirror once again. \u00a0He said being a team player hasn\u2019t helped. \u00a0We\u2019ll see if he admits that he came in with too much \u201chype.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Elias defeated Jeff Jarrett accompanied by the Road Dogg. \u00a0Road Dogg played his Roadie character signing \u201cWith My Baby Tonight\u201d while also playing his DX character. \u00a0Jarrett hit Elias with a guitar after Elias won with his Drift Away. \u00a0It\u2019s likely this nostalgia act is over, as fans were not buying. \u00a0Even my wife, who tends to be very observant, asked if anybody cares about the Jeff Jarrett act while we were watching this segment. \u00a0Look for this story to end and what\u2019s next for Elias.<\/li>\n<li>Bayley and Sasha Banks qualified for the Women\u2019s Tag Team Championship Elimination Chamber match by defeating Alicia Fox &amp; Nikki Cross. \u00a0Fox &amp; Cross attacked Bayley &amp; Sasha prior to the match, but it took place anyway with Bayley doing most of the work. \u00a0This is due to Sasha currently being injured; however, she is expected to compete at Elimination Chamber at the moment. \u00a0Look for something tonight involving the Raw teams that competed to be in the match. \u00a0Alicia and Nikki were none too pleased with each other after losing to Bayley and Sasha last week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Start Time &amp; Matches Advertised on the Arena Website<\/h3>\n<p>The Van Andel Arena website is advertising a start time of 7:30 p.m. local time. \u00a0They show the following matches, which clearly shows things haven\u2019t been updated, as is the case recently with many arenas\u2019 websites as of late:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Intercontinental Championship: Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins (obviously incorrect as Lashley is IC champ and Rollins is hurt).<\/li>\n<li>Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin (possible)<\/li>\n<li>Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jax (Ronday is not a typo, that\u2019s how they have it)<\/li>\n<li>They also advertise Bobby Lashley appearing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Follow me on Twitter @FrankPeteani or e-mail me at fpeteani@gmail.com. \u00a0Questions and discussion are welcome. \u00a0Thank you for reading!<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"pwtor-end-article-groups pwtor-entity-placement\" id=\"pwtor-135957164\"><div id=\"pwtor-395650586\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_medrec_3\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\nTHANK YOU FOR VISITING<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\"><p>WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW PRIMER FEBRUARY 11, 2019 GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.
