PAGEOT, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR<\/h3>\n<p><em>Commentary: Ian Riccaboni, Colt Cabana<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The commentators ran down the card.\u00a0 They announced that PCO is not medically cleared after what happened at <em>War Of The Worlds: Toronto\u00a0<\/em>so his singles match against Mark Haskins will not happen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) COAST 2 COAST (Shaheem Ali &amp; LSG) vs. NJPW YOUNG LIONS (Alex Coughlin &amp; Karl Fredericks)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fredericks and LSG started.\u00a0 C2C have lost their last few matches and showed post-match frustration.\u00a0 That carried over here with both men looking more dour and serious than usual.\u00a0 Coughlin worked over Ali.\u00a0 A gutwrench suplex got the first big reaction out of the crowd.\u00a0 C2C took the offense briefly but showboated too much, allowing Fredericks to make a hot tag.\u00a0 The crowd was solidly behind the rookies.\u00a0 Boston crab to LSG but Ali came in to break it up.\u00a0 The commentators spun it as a really dishonorable move.\u00a0 Swing-out slam from Ali to Coughlin as LSG prevented Fredericks from re-entering.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Coast 2 Coast in 10:19.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 C2C are around so sporadically that we probably won&#8217;t get a full official heel turn from them but rather this gradual shift that we&#8217;ve already been seeing.\u00a0 Maybe they can become Dalton Castle&#8217;s new seconds.\u00a0 He also turned heel due to frustration with a losing streak.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) \u201cTHE GATEKEEPER\u201d KELLY KLEIN vs. \u201cTHE MIDWEST SLAYER\u201d STACY SHADOWS \u2013 WOH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shadows ignored the code of honor and shoved Klein to the mat instead.\u00a0 Klein speared her in response.\u00a0 Shadows went to the floor to get away but Klein pursued.\u00a0 Knees from Klein.\u00a0 Spinebuster from Shadows.\u00a0 Clubbing blows to the champ that earned her some decent boos.\u00a0 Clothesline caught Shadows coming off the ropes.\u00a0 Series of running clotheslines to Shadows.\u00a0 German suplex.\u00a0 Back elbow from Shadows and a splash in the corner.\u00a0 Klein avoided a Vader bomb and hit her running knee.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-818358725\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>WINNER: Kelly Klein in 4:39 to retain the WOH title.<\/p>\n<p>-Shadows shook hands after the match.\u00a0 Klein left and the camera lingered for a suspiciously long time on Shadows at ringside.\u00a0 Sure enough The Allure showed up and accosted her.\u00a0 They drew their lipstick anarchy symbol on her forehead.\u00a0 Klein ran back out and took out Mandy Leon and Angelina Love but Velvet Sky sprayed her in the eyes with hairspray.\u00a0 Love attacked again but even when blinded Klein managed to hold her own.\u00a0 Staff and the rookie squad ran out to separate them.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 A good match for the short amount of time given but Women Of Honor desperately needs something more than just Klein vs. The Allure at this point.\u00a0 It&#8217;s only been a month and it already feels tired and repetitive.\u00a0 Sumie Sakai is possibly still injured as we haven&#8217;t seen her in a while but what happened to Twisted Sisterz and Kris Stadtlander &amp; Tasha Steelz?\u00a0 The latter two beat the established stars Sakai &amp; Jenny Rose at <\/em>Road To G1 Supercard\u00a0<em>on March 31 but there has been no follow-up in the six weeks since.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-The commentators addressed the main event of\u00a0<em>War Of The Worlds: Toronto\u00a0<\/em>and said the ROH board of directors have announced that TK O&#8217;Ryan and Vinny Marseglia will no longer be allowed at ringside during Matt Taven&#8217;s world title matches.<\/p>\n<p>-NJPW young lion Clark Connors and Cheeseburger entered for a singles match.\u00a0 The bell was about to ring when Dalton Castle&#8217;s music hit and he walked out with a microphone.\u00a0 He said he was watching the monitor backstage, hoping to be entertained, but this combination won&#8217;t do.\u00a0 He called Connors a half-eaten bowl of vanilla fro-yo and told them to hit the bricks.\u00a0 Burger grabbed a mic.\u00a0 He said he didn&#8217;t come here to hear his whiny, nasally voice.\u00a0 He came to wrestle and suggested they make it a triple threat.\u00a0 Castle said they don&#8217;t deserve to be in the ring with him.\u00a0 Burger said it&#8217;s a good thing he said no because he&#8217;d just lose in sixteen seconds again.\u00a0 Castle told referee Todd Sinclair to make it official.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) DALTON CASTLE vs. CHEESEBURGER vs. CLARK CONNORS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Castle competed in skinny jeans and a t-shirt.\u00a0 He threw Connors into the guardrail at ringside twice and went after Burger in the ring.\u00a0 A schoolboy gave Burger a two-count.\u00a0 Hurricanrana sent the former world champion to ringside.\u00a0 Connors stomped away at Burger.\u00a0 He stopped to run Castle into the guardrail before going back to Burger.\u00a0 Two gutwrench suplexes to Burger.\u00a0 Hip toss to Castle.\u00a0 Castle ran the apron and hit some running knees that knocked Connors off the top turnbuckle.\u00a0 Castle flipped Burger over his head and onto Connors on the floor.\u00a0 Gutwrench slam to Connors in the ring.\u00a0 Connors countered a bang-a-rang into a Boston crab attempt.\u00a0 Castle escaped.\u00a0 Spear from Connors.\u00a0 Boston crab.\u00a0 Burger tried to chop Connors to break the hold but he ate the chops and hung on.\u00a0 Burger superkicked him to break the move.\u00a0 Shotei to Castle!\u00a0 Pounce from Connors to Burger.\u00a0 Castle with a saito suplex to Connors.\u00a0 Bang-a-rang to Burger.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Dalton Castle in 9:19.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-602858379\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Cheeseburger is the go-to babyface for getting a heel turn over as we saw with Bully Ray last year.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t know if Castle wrestling in street clothes will be a permanent change going forward but it worked here to establish a new look to go with his new attitude.\u00a0 Good to see him back in the ring and he did more than I expected.\u00a0 I was anticipating the heel hiding at ringside and sneaking in to steal it but this was actually pretty competitive.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(4) THE KINGDOM (ROH World Champion Matt Taven, TK O\u2019Ryan, &amp; Vinny Marseglia) vs. BULLET CLUB (Hikuleo &amp;\u00a0 ROH World Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga &amp; Tanga Loa)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hikuleo overpowered Marseglia.\u00a0 Loa tagged in for the first time at 6:15 to take on O&#8217;Ryan.\u00a0 Hikuleo choked O&#8217;Ryan behind the referee&#8217;s back and Bullet Club worked to isolate O&#8217;Ryan.\u00a0 Tag to Marseglia at 10:20, who was a house of fire on Tonga.\u00a0 The Kingdom isolated Tonga.\u00a0 He tagged to Hikuleo at 14:50.\u00a0 Taven could be seen holding his world title belt in his corner on the floor.\u00a0 G.O.D. hit the Doomsday Device on O&#8217;Ryan.\u00a0 This prompted The Briscoes to walk out on stage.\u00a0 As everyone, including the referee, looked at them Taven clubbed Hikuleo in the back of the head with his title belt.\u00a0 Marseglia pinned Hikuleo.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: The Kingdom in 16:39.<\/p>\n<p>-The Briscoes and G.O.D. brawled to the side of the stage while staff and the rookie squad tried to separate them.<\/p>\n<p>The Kingdom celebrated but Lifeblood&#8217;s music interrupted.\u00a0 Mark Haskins walked out with a microphone.\u00a0 He addressed the fact that he would have had a world title match against PCO on this show if Taven hadn&#8217;t stolen the victory in Toronto.\u00a0 Now he doesn&#8217;t have a match at all.\u00a0 Haskins challenged Taven to a title match tonight.\u00a0 Taven polled the crowd and said no.\u00a0 Haskins said that Mike Bennett and Maria must have taken Taven&#8217;s balls with them when they left The Kingdom.\u00a0 Taven said he earned his title by making melvins like Haskins look like fools when they stepped to him.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 We&#8217;ve had a couple of heel vs. heel matches on this tour, which is strange considering how it often feels like 70% of ROH&#8217;s roster are babyfaces.\u00a0 This was a pretty formulaic match with most of the stretch being two people isolated and worked over.\u00a0 The post-match sets up a good late addition to the card but they need to find better ways to get there.\u00a0 Castle and Taven look so stupid for being easily triggered into accepting matches that they had no interest in.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Rhett Titus made his entrance.\u00a0 He insulted the fan&#8217;s bodies and offered to show off his three best poses.\u00a0 Flip Gordon&#8217;s music interrupted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(5) FLIP GORDON vs. RHETT TITUS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Titus tapped to an STF.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Flip Gordon in 3:36.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Gordon was supposed to be in Japan at the moment for NJPW&#8217;s <\/em>Best Of Super Juniors<em> tournament but visa issues prevented him from making the trip.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll see how they handle that development at the TV tapings.\u00a0 On Wednesday in Buffalo Lifeblood invited Gordon to join their stable and told him to let them know when he got back from his month in Japan.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Riccaboni announced that CMLL legend Silver King has passed away.\u00a0 Cabana spoke about his love for him and they gave their condolences.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(6) LOS INGOBERNABLES DE JAP\u00d3N (Evil &amp; Sanada) vs. THE BOUNCERS (Beer City Bruiser &amp; Brawler Milonas)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Bouncers offered cups of beer to the ungovernables.\u00a0 They drank, then spit the beer back in their faces in mist form.\u00a0 Evil hit Milonas with a steel chair at ringside to a mix of boos and uncertainty on how to react.\u00a0 Sanada put Bruiser in the paradise lock around the bottom rope, then dropkicked him free.\u00a0 Hot tag to Milonas.\u00a0 Sanada prevented Closing Time on Evil.\u00a0 L.I.J. tried to double-team suplex Milonas to no avail.\u00a0 They managed to get the big man over on the second attempt.\u00a0 Magic Killer to Bruiser.\u00a0 Evil covered for the win.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: L.I.J. in 7:05.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective: I knew L.I.J. weren&#8217;t going to lose but what a strange decision to even book this match then.\u00a0 The Bouncers had been on a three-month undefeated streak, picking up four victories in their last four appearances on TV.\u00a0 To wipe that away here in a match that won&#8217;t lead to anything seems so pointless.\u00a0 It will probably be months before we even see Sanada and Evil back in ROH again.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(7) RUSH vs. \u201cDAREWOLF\u201d PJ BLACK vs. \u201cHOT SAUCE\u201d TRACY WILLIAMS vs. ELI ISOM \u2013 WINNER EARNS AN ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The winner of this match will challenge for the ROH World Championship on June 1 at\u00a0<em>State Of The Art\u00a0<\/em>in Kent, Washington.\u00a0 Code of honor from everyone but Rush.\u00a0 He took out Isom immediately but Black and Williams teamed to take him out.\u00a0 Lots of very quick action, in and out and over the top rope.\u00a0 Williams put his armbar on Rush at 4:30.\u00a0 Rush tapped a couple times but the referee ignored it.\u00a0 Isom unloaded with enziguiris and a top rope frog-splash to Rush.\u00a0 Springboard moonsault from Black onto Williams and Isom.\u00a0 Rush avoided one of his own, though.\u00a0 Rolling German from suplex from Rush to Isom.\u00a0 Black wound up down in the corner but avoided Rush&#8217;s finishing move.\u00a0 Tower Of Doom.\u00a0 Springboard 450 from Black to Isom.\u00a0 Williams pulled Black off a pin and into a piledriver.\u00a0 Black rolled to the floor to avoid getting pinned.\u00a0 Rush took out himself and Black on the floor.\u00a0 Williams and Isom threw hands.\u00a0 Gutwrench slam from Isom but Williams kicked out of a believable near-fall.\u00a0 Piledriver from Williams and he pinned Isom.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Tracy Williams in 10:36.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Woo, it&#8217;s nice to predict one correctly for once.\u00a0 The undefeated Rush was obviously the favorite here but it would have seemed too soon for him to be challenging for the world title, let alone in a heel vs. heel match at a non-pay-per-view event.\u00a0 Williams is a fine challenger for an Honor Club event and ties in nicely to our next match with his tag partner challenging Taven.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-The commentators said G.O.D. had been evicted from the building.\u00a0 The Briscoes would have been too if they weren&#8217;t already scheduled to compete in the main event.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(8) MATT TAVEN vs. \u201cOVERKILL\u201d MARK HASKINS \u2013 ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Haskins started out hot with a pump kick that sent Taven to the floor.\u00a0 He knocked the champ around the ringside area and back into the ring.\u00a0 Haskins targeted Taven&#8217;s legs, setting up for the sharpshooter.\u00a0 Taven came back and went on offense for a stretch.\u00a0 Taven dragged Haskins up the ramp at 9:00 and hurled him onto the entrance steps.\u00a0 Taven left Haskins on the ramp and ran back to the ring, yelling for referee Todd Sinclair to count him out.\u00a0 Haskins staggered back up the ramp and made it in at 19.\u00a0 (Of course.)<\/p>\n<p>Taven pummeled Haskins.\u00a0 Cross armbreaker.\u00a0 Rope break.\u00a0 Haskins fired up at 13:00.\u00a0 Suicide dive to the back of Taven&#8217;s head at ringside.\u00a0 Haskins avoided the Climax and locked in the bridging armbar.\u00a0 Rope break.\u00a0 Crossface.\u00a0 Rope break.\u00a0 Dragonscrew leg whip.\u00a0 Just The Tip (of Taven&#8217;s knee).\u00a0 Both men were down at 18:00.\u00a0 Blue thunder from Taven.\u00a0 Rolling death valley driver from Haskins.\u00a0 Taven raked the eyes.\u00a0 Stereo flying dropkicks left both men down again.\u00a0 Top rope double stomp from Haskins.\u00a0 Climax from Taven to Haskins on the apron.\u00a0 He rolled Haskins back in.\u00a0 Just The Tip.\u00a0 Top rope frog-splash.\u00a0 Haskins kicked out.\u00a0 (Completely absurd.)\u00a0 Sharpshooter to Taven.\u00a0 He dragged him back to the middle of the ring and Taven teased tapping.\u00a0 Bully Ray walked out with a microphone and heckled Haskins.\u00a0 Haskins let go of the sharpshooter while Cabana yelled what we all were thinking, &#8220;Who cares?!&#8221;\u00a0 Low blow.\u00a0 Climax.<\/p>\n<p>WINNER: Matt Taven in 25:52 to retain the ROH world title.<\/p>\n<p>-Taven dedicated his victory to everyone who says he sucks.\u00a0 He mentioned Marty Scurll, Jay Lethal, and PCO as people he&#8217;s beat.\u00a0 PCO&#8217;s music played.\u00a0 PCO walked out and his eye appeared perfectly fine.\u00a0 Pop-up powerbomb to Taven.\u00a0 Tombstone.\u00a0 Moonsault.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 \u00a0Wow.\u00a0 ROH just can&#8217;t help themselves.\u00a0 The match became really good down the stretch.\u00a0 The victor was never in question since Taven just won the title and is already scheduled to defend against Flip Gordon on TV next week but it was still a very good match.\u00a0 With the new stipulation that TK &amp; Vinny aren&#8217;t able to interfere in Taven&#8217;s title matches, I was intrigued as to how he was going to retain.\u00a0 So how does it happen?\u00a0 Somebody else interferes.\u00a0 And Cabana was completely right that Haskins looked like a complete moron for letting go of his submission simply because Ray asked how his wife is.\u00a0 Grow a thicker skin.\u00a0 You&#8217;re a goddamn professional wrestler.\u00a0 <\/em><em>I thought the intent of matches like this and the 60-minute match with Lethal at<\/em> 17th Anniversary <em>were to give Taven in-ring credibility and really establish him as a main event wrestler.\u00a0 But to have Haskins kick out of Taven&#8217;s finishing move on the apron + a knee to the face! + a frog-splash! after a previous 20 minutes of hard action and then only take the win thanks to a distraction and a low blow just makes Taven look like a bigger joke than ever.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>-Kenny King was helped out on stage by timekeeper Amy Rose.\u00a0 He&#8217;s still blind as a result of The Great Muta misting him at\u00a0<em>G1 Supercard<\/em>.\u00a0 He said he&#8217;s the #1 contender to the world title after winning the Honor Rumble in Madison Square Garden.\u00a0 Luckily being blinded has heightened his other senses.\u00a0 Based on the vibrations in the air he could tell Amy Rose was wearing a blue dress.\u00a0 He could also sense that ring announcer Bobby Cruise was wearing women&#8217;s underwear and that Lethal has put on 15 pounds.\u00a0 At 11:45 tomorrow morning he&#8217;s meeting with a doctor in Chicago to finally have his necessary surgery to save his eyesight.\u00a0 But first, one last night of blind commentary.\u00a0 Rose guided him to the commentary booth.<\/p>\n<p><em>(Pageot\u2019s Perspective:\u00a0 Actually Flip Gordon is #1 contender since he&#8217;s getting his title shot on TV next week.\u00a0 King is either #2 contender or #3 depending on if he gets his title match before or after Tracy Williams on June 1.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>(9) JEFF COBB, HIROOKI GOTO, YUJI NAGATA, SATOSHI KOJIMA, &amp; JAY LETHAL vs. BULLY RAY, JAY BRISCOE, MARK BRISCOE, ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION SHANE TAYLOR, &amp; SILAS YOUNG<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lethal and Jay Briscoe started.\u00a0 Mark vs. Goto next.\u00a0 Taylor vs. Cobb third.\u00a0 Ray vs. Kojima fourth.\u00a0 Young vs. Nagata fifth.\u00a0 Cobb tagged back in at 10:00 as the faces started to work over Young.\u00a0 Lethal wound up isolated next, then Jay Briscoe.\u00a0 Others took turns playing the victim who sold.\u00a0 Lethal Injection to Taylor at 20:30.\u00a0 Anarchist suplex from Young to Lethal.\u00a0 Exploder suplex from Nagata to Young.\u00a0 Dropkick from Jay to Nagata.\u00a0 Cobb took out Jay.\u00a0 Ray took out Cobb.\u00a0 Kojima looked to take out Ray but Young tripped him.\u00a0 Ray grabbed his steel chain.\u00a0 Mark Haskins ran out and took it from him.\u00a0 The babyfaces all hit one move each on Ray.\u00a0 Kojima hit a lariat on Ray and pinned him.<\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Team Babyface in 23:28.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Find Harley on
