It seems clear to me that NJPW is increasingly discounting their partnership with ROH. This is no doubt due to their interest in North America expansion.

With the opening days of the 2019 G1 Tournament taking place in Dallas, TX, New Japan has almost no incentive to build up the brand of ROH. As soon, if not already, New Japan is the larger company in the US and Canada. Will we see a continued decline in Japanese talent on these tours? Or will we see a break between the two companies in the next year or so?

ROH is continuing to build a relationship with the NWA, which to me seems like an active acknowledgment that the ROH brass are feeling the way that I do about the NJPW partnership.

What have you? Am I way off, or do you not really care one way or the other?

Tyler has been a wrestling fan for 20 years. He’s from Columbus, Ohio.
