{"id":8292,"date":"2016-01-22T15:45:23","date_gmt":"2016-01-22T21:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/?p=8292"},"modified":"2016-01-22T16:03:19","modified_gmt":"2016-01-22T22:03:19","slug":"january14sdratings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pwtorch.com\/site\/2016\/01\/22\/january14sdratings\/","title":{"rendered":"1\/14 Smackdown Ratings with DVR Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pwtor-1927111744\" class=\"pwtor-before-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><hr \/><b>SPOTLIGHTED PODCAST ALERT (YOUR ARTICLE BEGINS A FEW INCHES DOWN)... <\/b>\r\n\r\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/widget.spreaker.com\/player?show_id=3076978&theme=light&playlist=false&playlist-continuous=false&autoplay=false&live-autoplay=false&chapters-image=true&episode_image_position=right&hide-logo=false&hide-likes=false&hide-comments=false&hide-sharing=false&hide-download=true\" width=\"100%\" height=\"140px\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\r\n<hr \/><\/div><p>Week 2 of WWE Smackdown on USA Network did not maintain the\u00a0good start to a new era, as the show declined double-digit percentages.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WWE Smackdown Ratings Tracking<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <strong>January 14 (Week 2):<\/strong>\u00a0Smackdown scored a 1.68 rating, down 13 percent from last week&#8217;s introductory 1.93 rating on USA Network.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Smackdown drew 2.332 million first-run viewers, down 425,000 viewers (15.4 percent) from Week 1&#8217;s\u00a0first-run audience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DVR UPDATE:\u00a0<\/strong>Smackdown added 213,000 DVR viewers to bring the total audience to <strong>2.545 million viewers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This\u00a0was down about 400,000 viewers from Week 1&#8217;s total audience.\u00a0So, there was not a significant bump from DVR viewership to make up for the soft first-run\u00a0viewership.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Demographics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Smackdown declined across the board in the key demographics.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-552857715\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Adults 18-49 was down to a 0.70 rating from a 0.85 last week.\u00a0<strong>DVR Update:<\/strong>\u00a0A18-49 registered a 0.78 rating, which was still down significantly from a 0.92 DVR rating last week.<\/li>\n<li>Males 18-34 was down to a 0.80 rating from a 0.96 last week.<\/li>\n<li>Males 18-49 was down to a 0.87 rating from a 1.01 rating last week.\u00a0<strong>DVR Update:<\/strong> M18-49 registered the biggest demo bump of the week to a 0.98 rating, which was still down from a 1.12 DVR rating last week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Caldwell&#8217;s Analysis: <\/strong>The show was\u00a0right back where Smackdown was on Syfy.
