The company makes desperate play after desperate play to make him your favorite graps guy \u2013 with limited success. How do they do it? What do they do?<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m <b>Tom Colohue<\/b> and this is the <b>Monday Night Reigns-o-Meter.<\/b><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>If there\u2019s one thing I\u2019ve learned over the last seven years of watching wrestling in the post and present Shield era, it\u2019s that Roman Reigns is the most unstoppable force in wrestling history. He does not lose. He does not stay down for long. If you tie him down and break both his legs, he will still no-sell the attack and throw a Superman Punch before he goes down. Roman Reigns is an unstoppable force.<\/p>\n<p>You know what else we can say with reliable optimism? Erick Rowan is not the same as Roman Reigns. Erick Rowan holds the record for the fastest-ever loss when he took a Rock Bottom from The Rock, ate the pin, and then that was officially that. Winning wrestling matches is not something that Rowan is known for.<\/p>\n<p>Now following someone more powerful? That\u2019s the Erick Rowan way. He\u2019s followed Bray Wyatt. He\u2019s followed John Cena. He\u2019s followed Luke Harper. He\u2019s followed Daniel Bryan. He follows. That\u2019s his thing.<\/p>\n<p>Until now. Didn\u2019t Clash Of Champions just go ahead and change everything?<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Luke Harper returns to stop Roman Reigns&#039; charge: Clash of Champions 2019 (WWE Network Exclusive)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/aKZFD2tiJbg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I predicted that Rowan would defeat Roman and even I don\u2019t entirely believe this actually happened but, after a big guy brawl the likes of which we haven\u2019t had since Roman and Braun Strowman fought over an ambulance, it was Roman who was flat on his back. There were no forklifts needed. No cars necessary. No unsettled Samoa Joes shaking and uneasy in the background. It wasn\u2019t without controversy, though.<\/p>\n<p>Luke Harper, long thought to be an abstract concept rather than an actual person, would interfere with a big boot and a big beard to help Rowan take the win. Finally, after all this time, Rowan is the leader.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-2514208562\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>Possibly. I really don\u2019t feel particularly safe in saying so for definite. When\u2019s the last time Erick Rowan won a match on a pay-per-view. These truly are dark times.<\/p>\n<p>This curious state of affairs would be followed up on Smackdown where, in a curious turn of events, Roman Reigns would attempt to rescue the planet\u2019s champion, Daniel Bryan. I swear, this whole thing has turned so many villains into heroes and heroes into still just Roman.<\/p>\n<p>Rowan would interrupt Daniel Bryan\u2019s emotional return &#8211; he has a lot of experience with those &#8211; and walk down to the ring. His new music is much better than the ditty little piano and bell thing he used to have. Rowan stood tall in the ring as Daniel Bryan repeatedly fingered his chest and then came the Luke Harper. The second Bludgeon Brother. The most loyal followers of the one who must not be mentioned.<\/p>\n<p>Roman would stride down, dodge Harper, and go after Rowan. As it\u2019s Roman, you would expect him to stand tall at the end of it, but this ended up not being the case. Harper and Rowan, in classic Bludgeon Brothers fashion, tore up ringside and threw some people on to concrete. Also on to each other. I really, really missed how destructive The Bludgeon Brothers always were? It adds so much to their personalities and so much to the show. When they first truly announced themselves by walking down during a match between The Usos and The New Day, destroying everything in their path and laying waste to all five man, they immediately grabbed everybody\u2019s attention. If this is them back, then I can\u2019t wait to see what they do.<\/p>\n<p>At the moment, it sure looks like what they do is maul Roman Reigns repeatedly.
