\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>-The show opened with a video package highlighting the number one contender situation over the last two weeks, specifically the victory of Humberto Carrillo over Oney Lorcan, and Lince Dorado over Carrillo.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With victories for both Dorado and Carrillo, a triple threat match was made official for Clash of Champions between Drew Gulak, Carrillo, and Dorado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The package also highlighted the attack of Tony Nese and Gulak on Carrillo and Dorado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Following the recap was the 205 Live intro. video.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>-After panning the crowd, the cameras stayed with announcers Vic Joseph and Aiden English.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The two celebrated 205 Live\u2019s debut in Madison Square Garden.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Joseph and English noted that Nigel McGuinness had left the 205 Live announce team to concentrate on NXT full time.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>They then named his replacement, former NFL offensive tackle and NXT wrestler Dio Madden.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The music of Akiria Tozawa began. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>it\u2019s a positive that Nigel is sticking with NXT full time, as his experience and personality will surely be an anchor for the live broadcast on USA.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I always prefer a two-person announce team, but it will be interesting to hear how Dio Madden adapts to his new role.)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>(1) Akira Tozawa &amp; The Brian Kendrick vs. Jack Gallagher &amp; A Mystery Partner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tozawa and Kendrick made their ring entrance followed by Gallagher.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gallagher stopped at the top of the stage with a microphone and addressed Kendrick.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>First, Gallagher claimed he had been absent from 205 Live due to injury.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He then announced his mystery partner to be Kushida.<\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis: I don\u2019t think it\u2019s likely that Kushida is moving to 205 Live full time, as he barely got any time to shine in NXT.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Hopefully, this means that the 205 Live roster will start integrating with the NXT roster and will have a better platform to compete on \u2013 that being live on NXT\u2019s weekly show.)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>-After the bell rang, a brief \u201cKushida!\u201d chant broke out.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Kushida and Kendrick started the match with Kendrick getting the advantage with a standing armbar.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The two exchanged grapple holds until Kushida got the best of Kendrick and mocked him before both men made it to their feet.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Kushida locked in his own standing armbar which Kendrick broke out of by pushing Kushida into the ropes.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The pace quickened until Kushida hit an arm drag into an armbar on the mat.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Frantically, Kendrick made his way to the bottom rope and was able to reach it with his foot.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The referee broke the hold, and with Kendrick now on his feet, Kushida continued to target Kendrick\u2019s arm.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Kushida tagged Gallagher who leveraged a modified armbar into a one count.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From the pin attempt, Kendrick tagged Tozawa.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Tozawa entered the ring and he traded headlocks with Gallagher.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The pace quickened with an Irish whip from Gallagher which was reversed by Tozawa.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Tozawa then attempted a sunset flip but landed on his feet.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With Gallagher on his back, Tozawa attempted a running kick but Gallagher caught Tozawa\u2019s leg and rolled him into a pin attempt.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Tozawa backed Gallagher towards Kendrick and Kendrick made a blind tag.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With his focus on Tozawa, Gallagher was blindsided as Kendrick threw Gallagher shoulder first into the LED ring post. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After rolling to the floor, Gallagher was forced back into the ring by Kendrick who got a two count.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Tozawa was tagged by Kendrick and the two completed a tandem hip toss on Gallagher. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After landing an elbow drop, Tozawa attempted another pin fall.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Both men returned their feet with Tozawa faking a right hand which Gallagher tried to block.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Once Gallagher dropped his hands, Tozawa landed the strike which caused Gallagher to fall to his back.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A tag was made from Tozawa to Kendrick and once in the ring, Kendrick landed a suplex for a two count.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Out of the pin, Kendrick tagged Tozawa.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Kendrick and Tozawa hit a modified back body drop and a tandem kick to Gallagher\u2019s chest before Tozawa attempted another pin fall.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Another tag was made to Kendrick. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A double team maneuver was attempted, but Gallagher was able to counter the move and made a diving tag to Kushida.<\/p><div id=\"pwtor-440636578\" class=\"pwtor-content pwtor-entity-placement\"><div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __336x280\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\">\r\n  <script data-cfasync=\"false\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\r\n    freestar.config.enabled_slots.push({ placementName: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\", slotId: \"pwtorchcom_test_300x250\" });\r\n  <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis: Kendrick and Tozawa did a good job working Gallagher down, and Gallagher sold the offense well.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This did not lead to much of a reaction upon the hot tag to Kushida, though.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The crowd was supposed to view Kendrick and Tozawa as heels in this match, but the heel\/face presentation in WWE is inconsistent and it really hurts matches like this one.)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>-Kushida entered the ring with a springboard forearm to Kendrick.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With both Tozawa and Kenrick in the ring, Kushida landed a flurry of offense on both men.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Kushida then hit a summersault DDT on Kendrick and transitioned into an armbar.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Before Kendrick could tap, Tozawa broke the hold.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gallagher returned to the ring and held Tozawa in place for Kushida to hit a running kick to Tozawa\u2019s mid-section.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Kendrick then booted Gallagher out of the ring and attempted a backslide on Kushida for a two count.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Kendrick attempted to lock in the captain\u2019s hook but Kushida was able to return to his feet. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With his back against the ropes, Kushida ducked a charging Kendrick who fell to the floor.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From the apron, Gallagher signaled for the tag but was pulled to the floor by Kendrick before Kushida could reach him. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gallagher was thrown in the barricade by Kendrick, which was then followed by summersault dive from the ring steps by Tozawa.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis: Ouch.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>That fall by Tozawa nasty.)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Quickly, Tozawa and Kendrick returned to the ring and both men splashed Kushida in the corner.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Kendrick held Kushida in place for Tozawa\u2019s running kick, but Kushida reversed the hold.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Tozawa kicked Kendrick inadvertently, which allowed Kushida to lock in a submission on Kendrick for the tap out victory. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>WINNERS: Jack Gallagher &amp; Kushida via submission<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis: Nothing special here, and not much of a showcase for Kushida.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Most of the match was an attempt to get heat on Kendrick and Tozawa by beating down Gallagher.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I would have preferred a dominant singles win for Kushida where he got to show off more of his offense.)<\/i><\/p>\n<p>-A segment with the Singh Brother\u2019s aired at the \u201cBollywood Actor\u2019s Studio\u201d.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The two spoke about how they deserved more world-wide recognition and vowed to be featured the next time 205 Live emanated from Madison Square Garden. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I continue to dislike these segments.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Singh brothers would have made good foes for Kushida to destroy upon his 205 Live debut.)<\/i><\/p><div id=\"pwtor-954350679\" class=\"pwtor-content-1 pwtor-entity-placement\"><!-- Tag ID: pwtorchcom_test_300x600 -->\r\n<div align=\"center\" data-freestar-ad=\"__336x280 __300x600\" id=\"pwtorchcom_test_300x600\">\r\n  <script <\/script>\r\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>-Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviewed Mike Kanellis.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Schreiber asked about the recent actions of Tony Nese, who Kanellis defeated the week prior.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Angrily, Kanellis stated he had beaten Nese, Kendrick, and others but was still not in the Cruiserweight title picture.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Kanellis went on to say that he needed to do something in order to impress his wife, Maria.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Maria then walked up to the Mike and said Mike\u2019s victory over Nese was only done for himself and not their family, and then threatened to leave him.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The camera briefly held on Mike Kanellis as he looked distraught.<\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis: Maria\u2019s treatment of Mike is very uncomfortable to watch.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Seeing anyone stand back and accept obvious emotional and verbal abuse isn\u2019t fun or entertaining.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>What is the payoff here?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Mike Kanellis heroically walks out on his pregnant wife?)<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) Humberto Carrillo &amp; Lince Dorado vs. Drew Gulak &amp; Tony Nese<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As Carrillo and Dorado made their way to ringside, they were attacked by Gulak and Nese.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A brawl between the four men continued until Ariya Daivari attacked Dorado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Nese and Daivari double teamed Dorado as all five men ended up inside the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The music of Lucha House Party played, and Gran Metalik ran to the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From the apron, Metalik hit a springboard drop kick on Nese and Daivari.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With his attention now on Gulak, Metalik hit a springboard back elbow. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>-Carrillo took the microphone and challenged Gulak, Nese, and Daivari to a six-man tag team match. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gulak accepted the match on behalf of Nese and Daivari.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>WINNER: No Contest<\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Where was the general manager to approve this decision?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Wrestlers shouldn\u2019t be able to change matches like this.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Why have an authority figure?)<\/i><\/p>\n<p><strong>(3) Humberto Carrillo &amp; Lince Dorado &amp; Gran Metalik vs. Drew Gulak &amp; Tony Nese &amp; Ariya Daivari<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The referee rang the bell and the match began with Dorado and Daivari. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Dorado got the best of Daivari quickly, which caused Tony Nese to pull Daivari to the outside of the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>While on the outside, Gulak and Nese attempted to console Daivari but Dorado dove over the top rope and took out all three men.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With Daivari and Dorado back in the ring, Dorado hit a head-scissor take down followed by several strikes and kicks.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After being shoved into the corner, Dorado jumped to the ring apron and made his way to the top rope and hit a diving cross body for a two count.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From the pin fall attempt, Dorado tagged Metalik.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With Daivari held in place, Metalik jumped over the rope and landed a strike to Daivari\u2019s arm.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Metalik then tagged in Carrillo who did the same.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After a quick armbar was applied, Carrillo tagged in Dorado also attacked Daivari\u2019s arm.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Desperately, Daivari kneed Dorado in the stomach and made a quick tag to Gulak.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A charging Gulak was met with a quick arm drag from Dorado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Dorado was then positioned by Gulak on the top rope, but Dorado dove over Gulak and hit a modified head-scissor take down. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>To keep the advantage, Dorado ran to the ropes to gain momentum before his next maneuver but was stopped by a kick from Daivari on the ring apron.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After the illegal kick, Gulak attempted a pin fall for a two count.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>-After a tag, Nese entered the ring and synched in a headlock on Dorado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Nese then tagged Daivari who whipped Dorado into the corner chest first.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Daivari mounted Dorado and hit a series of strikes.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After dragging Dorado to his corner, Daivari tagged in Gulak who stomped on a prone Dorado and followed up with a headbutt, and a tag to Nese.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Once in the ring, Nese distracted the referee while Daivari chocked Dorado from the ring apron.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Nese tagged Gulak who continued to punish Dorado.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Dorado countered an Irish whip into the corner by jumping to the top rope and hitting a hurricanrana on Gulak. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Although he took the brunt of the maneuver, Gulak was able to use the momentum and make his way back to his corner to tag in Nese.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Once back in the ring, Nese tried to stop the tag from Dorado to Metalik but was unsuccessful.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After the tag, the pace quickened dramatically as both Dorado and Nese evaded each other with a series counters and reversals.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Metalik then hit a missile drop kick from the second rope which caused Nese to retreat to the outside of the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A charging Metalik attempted to dive over the top rope onto Nese but was blocked by Daivari.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In retaliation to the block, Metalik struck Daivari who fell from the apron to the floor. From there, Metalik tried to dive onto Nese, but Nese evaded and hit Metalik with a running back elbow.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s Analysis:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The crowd was distracted by something and kept breaking into an indiscernible chant at this point in the match.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Many of them were turning to the back of the arena with their phones out. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Was this a symptom of a late night, lack of interest in the match, or just the crowd finding an opportunity to entertain itself?<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>I suspect it was a combination of all three of those.)<\/i><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>-Back in ring, Gulak was tagged by Nese who stomped on Metalik from second rope and attempted a pin fall.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From the two count, Gulak tried to rip off Metalik\u2019s mask.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Daivari tagged in and continued to punish Metalik.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Another tag between Daivari took place and Gulak hit a powerslam on Metalik.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Gulak tagged in Nese who locked in a body scissor submission hold.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Nese pulled Metalik over to his corner and Daivari made a tag.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After an Irish whip into the corner, Daivari attacked Dorado and then tried to bait Carrillo to enter the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With Daivari distracted, Metalik hit sling blade and tagged in Carrillo.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>At the same time, Daivari tagged in Gulak.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Carrillo\u2019s flurry of offense got the better of Gulak quickly and Carrillo attempted a pin fall.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>As Daivari entered the ring to break up the pin fall, Carrillo jumped to his feet and knocked Daivari out of the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Carrillo hit a springboard splash on Gulak and then a springboard kick on Nese.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Carrillo then hit a moonsault from the top rope to the floor on all three of his opponents.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Carrillo then threw Gulak back in the ring and attempted a pin fall.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With Gulak stunned, Carrillo hit a missile drop kick.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>A returning Nese broke up class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Daivari then hit a Persian splash on Dorado but was then met with a diving elbow drop from Metalik.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>From there, Gulak hit a modified slam on Carrillo and executed a chin lock. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Nese was then tagged in and hit a 450 splash on Carrillo for a very close two count.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>All six wrestlers entered the ring and climbed to three of the corners in pairs.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gulak, Nese, and Daivari fell from the top rope to the mat.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Dorado, Carrillo, and Metalik all attempted moonsaults, but each were met with boots.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The faces slowly stood to their feet, and then all hit a superkicks on the attacking heels.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>All six men laid prone in the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Gulak and Dorado were deemed the legal men by the referee.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>After countering a head-scissor take down, Gulak hit a sit-down powerbomb on Dorado. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Frantically, Carrillo rushed into the ring to stop the pin fall attempt by Gulak.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Chaos followed as each man ran into the ring.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With Daivari now on the ring apron, Metalik charged him, jumped over the tope rope, and hit a hurricanrana from the apron to the floor.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>(Taylor\u2019s It was way too long, and way too chaotic.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Everyone worked very hard, but the crowd simply did not care past the 14:00 mark.
