PAGEOT, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR

Commentary: Ian Riccaboni, Colt Cabana

We opened in the arena with the commentators running down the card. Scotland’s Joe Hendry was out first for the night. Rampage Brown accompanied Silas Young after teaming together last night. Brown joined commentary.

(1) “THE LAST REAL MAN” SILAS YOUNG (w/ Rampage Brown) vs. “THE PRESTIGIOUS ONE” JOE HENDRY

Hendry went to ringside to sign autographs and threw one at Brown. Brown responded with a forearm to the head. Young and Brown double-teamed Hendry. The referee waved his hands wildly but did not call for the bell so I’ll do it for him.

WINNER: Joe Hendry in 3:11 via disqualification.

-Dalton Castle made the save. (He’s currently feuding/teaming with Hendry, has a storied rivalry with Young, and was scheduled to face Brown in singles action later tonight.) Castle called Young and Brown pus-filled sweatsocks. He suggested a tag match. The other three agreed and Castle and Hendry even hugged.

(2) DALTON CASTLE & “THE PRESTIGIOUS ONE” JOE HENDRY vs. “THE LAST REAL MAN” SILAS YOUNG & RAMPAGE BROWN

Brown clotheslined Young by mistake. Hendry hit Brown with a codebreaker and Castle followed with a bulldog.

WINNERS: Castle & Hendry in 8:13.

-Castle and Hendry celebrated together while Young and Brown blamed each other. They brawled until security intervened.

(Pageot’s Perspective: This just feels like another Young-Bouncers situation where Castle is merely setting up Hendry to pull the rug out from under him again next week. All signs point to them facing each other at Final Battle.)

(3) MOLLY SPARTAN vs. MANDY LEON

Spartan went shoulder-first into the ring post and Leon rolled her up.

WINNER: Mandy Leon in 5:11.

(Pageot’s Perspective: That may have been the longest five-minute match I’ve ever seen.)

(4) VILLAIN ENTERPRISES (ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Marty Scurll & Flip Gordon) vs. SCHADENFREUDE (Kyle Fletcher & Lucky Kid)

Flip-5 to Kid for the pin.

WINNERS: Villain Enterprises in 17:04.

(Pageot’s Perspective: Considering all indications are that Scurll is leaving ROH within a month there have been no signs of any exit strategy for him. He’s just continuining to kick around in tag matches in the midcard. Villain Enterprises will likely drop the six-man titles next weekend at The Experience but beyond that there’s been no teasing as to what his departure would mean for Villain Enteprises or what his send-off will look like.)

(5) ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS THE BRISCOES (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe) vs. KENNY KING & HIKULEO (w/ Amy Rose) vs. BRAT PACK (Nick Bury & Mitch Waterman) – NON-TITLE MATCH

Redneck Boogie to Waterman. Jay Driller + froggy-bow to Bury for the win.

WINNERS: The Briscoes in 12:33.

(6) ROH WORLD SIX-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPION PCO vs. JAY LETHAL

Jonathan Gresham came out moments into the match. When PCO went for the PCOsault Gresham pushed his feet off the top rope.

WINNER: PCO in 6:11 via disqualification.

-Gresham with a steel chair to PCO. Gresham took a mic and said they would do this every show. The Briscoes came out and the tag teams brawled. Security decided to show up at that point instead of when two guys were assaulting another man with a chair. Briscoe offered a tag title match at Final Battle.

(Pageot’s Perspective: Yawn. The pay-per-view match will be good but none of the rest of this nonsense was necessary to get us there. Lethal & Gresham doing the same tired b.s. that Bully Ray and his crew have done all year doesn’t get me hyped for the tag title match nor does a cop-out DQ in a six-minute match.)

(7) FLAMITA vs. “SPEEDBALL” MIKE BAILEY

Tons of big moves and near-falls but it was a 450 from Flamita that ended it.

WINNER: Flamita in 13:20.

(Pageot’s Perspective: Great match and lots of fun. I personally had heard nothing but good things about both guys but had never actually seen anything from either. I’d definitely love to see more of both.)

-An ad aired for Shane Taylor Promotions.

-Taylor made his entrance and dubbed himself the MVP of the tour. He beat two of their local heroes and made them more famous than they’ve ever been. He suggested he do it a third time and issued an open challenge to anyone local. Brooklyn’s Tracy Williams came out instead. He said he’ll represent from anywhere and take the title home if Taylor was looking for a fight. Matt Taven’s music hit. He said if Taylor’s handing out title shots, he’s never held two titles simultaneously so he’ll gladly take the TV title and then go on to reclaim the world title. Mark Haskins’ music was next. He acknowledged that he and Taven were supposed to have a singles match later on but suggested they make it a four-way. Taylor actually agreed.

(8) SHANE TAYLOR (w/ entourage) vs. “OVERKILL” MARK HASKINS (w/ Vicky Haskins) vs. MATT TAVEN vs. “HOT SAUCE” TRACY WILLIAMS – ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP

The challengers disposed of Taylor, then Lifeblood disposed of Taven and faced each other one-on-one. As Taven flirted with Haskins’ wife at ringside Taylor low-blowed Williams and hit Welcome To The Land.

WINNER: Shane Taylor in 9:41 to retain the TV title.

(Pageot’s Perspective: That was a close one. We almost made it through a full show without a low blow. But don’t worry, they got one in on time.)

(9) “EL TORO BLANCO” RUSH vs. “THE HAWAIIAN JUGGERNAUT” JEFF COBB – ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

Two sets of The Bull’s Horns and an arrogant cover from Rush.

WINNER: Rush in 15:51 to retain the world title.

(Pageot’s Perspective: I have no idea where Cobb slots into the Final Battle card and that’s a damn shame. Rush vs. PCO is now official for the main event of ROH’s biggest show of the year on December 13.)

THANK YOU FOR VISITING

ROH HONOR UNITED OCTOBER 27, 2019 BOLTON, ENGLAND AT BOLTON WHITES HOTEL AIRED ON ROH HONOR CLUB REPORT BY HARLEY R.
