PAGEOT, PWTORCH CONTRIBUTOR

We opened with Starlight Kid, Saya Kamitani, and Itsuki Hoshino performing “The Future Of Stardom” from the new Stardom album.

-Onozaki said it would be a difficult match but she hoped to win with her Leo Clutch.

(1) ANDRAS MIYAGI vs. LEO ONOZAKI

Onozaki looked for a cheap shot dropkick to Miyagi’s back as she was making her entrance but Miyagi sidestepped and smacked her to the mat, locking on a crossface. Onozaki got a bulldog and few roll-ups in but Miyagi made her tap to the crossface.

WINNER: Andras Miyagi in 2:11.

(Pageot’s Perspective: The strange booking of Miyagi continues. This was the dominant squash she needed ahead of her showdown with Kagetsu but Onozaki heelishly jumping her from behind further makes it seem like the demon from hell is a babyface now?)

-Hoshino said she was a little scared but she’d try her best not to lose. Tora wondered if the rookie could handle… this. She went face to face with the camera and stared us down.

(2) NATSUKO TORA vs. ITSUKI HOSHINO

Tora finished her off with a top rope frog-splash.

WINNER: Natsuko Tora in 7:26.

(Pageot’s Perspective: Like Kyona in Hoshino’s debut match Tora is the perfect opponent for the rookies to face off against and learn from. Maybe a match with Death Yama-San is on her horizon next.)

-Kamitani lost to Konami in singles action last time so this time she wanted to crush her with a shooting star press. Konami and Lucas were wearing the new TCS baseball caps. Konami said they’re not a cute team.

(3) 3838 TAG (Saya Iida & Saya Kamitani) vs. TOKYO CYBER SQUAD (Goddess Of Stardom Champion Konami & Zoe Lucas)

Konami finished off Kamitani with a kick to the side of the head.

WINNERS: Tokyo Cyber Squad in 8:44.

(Pageot’s Perspective: Just a match.)

-Hayter was feeling rough after going drinking with The Drunk Queens. Martina said they’re now called The Donnies(?). We cut to footage from earlier in the day in the locker room. Kimura approached Death and Death bit her(?) or gave her an Indian burn(?). On the promo set Kimura said her arm still hurt. She had a needle and said the vaccine would help her against Death.

(4) TOKYO CYBER SQUAD (Goddess Of Stardom Champion Jungle Kyona, Hana Kimura, & Death Yama-San) vs. OEDO TAI (Natsu Sumire, Jamie Hayter, & Session Moth Martina)

Martina’s partners made her start against Kyona but she cowered in fear. They managed to string her up in the ropes, though, and hit a three-way spit take, dousing Kyona in beer. They then hit a three-way crotch assault. Kimura broke up the festivities. Death rolled up Martina for the win.

WINNERS: Tokyo Cyber Squad in 7:11.

(Pageot’s Perspective: I have no idea what was going on in those pre-match promos. Is a Donny some sort of British term? The camera shook so much during the TCS bit that it wasn’t clear what Death did to Kimura. Is Death becoming a sort of feral animal now? She was her usual self during their promo and match as was Kimura.)

-QQ did a round-robin style promo saying one word at a time. Kid said that Riho is Stars but Riho thanked them for letting her team with them. (Ambiguous.) Kid said they wanted QQ’s trios titles.

(5) QUEEN’S QUEST (Bea Priestley & Artist Of Stardom Champions Momo Watanabe, AZM, & SWA World Champion & Future Of Stardom Champion Utami Hayashishita) vs. STARS (High Speed Champion & AEW Women’s Champion Riho, Tam Nakano, Saki Kashima, & Starlight Kid)

Of course AZM and Kid started. In the end QQ looked for a four-way dropkick on Kid but she avoided it. AZM took a three-way kick instead and a code red from Kid for the pin.

WINNERS: Stars in 10:40.

-Kid took a mic and asked Kashima and Nakano if they wanted to go after the trios titles. She just beat AZM so that earns them the right. Also, Riho, in the tag league we went to a draw with Konami & Kyona so they owe us a title match too.

Kyona interrupted with Konami at her side. She said she had been waiting for them. Their team’s only good because of Riho, right? Kid slapped her. Kyona grabbed her by the mask until the others separated them. Konami asked if they want to come for the tag titles. They want it too. She agreed. She looked forward to seeing Kid pass out in Kyona’s swinging sleeperhold again. She asked Kyona to entertain her. They left.

Kid vowed to win both tag titles by the end of the year and told Riho she wanted her high speed title too.

(Pageot’s Perspective: Teens these days. No patience. They just want everything right now. I never thought I’d say this but I’m actually really enjoying Kyona with a heel edge to her. It’s just a dash of “being a dick” mixed into the confidence of a champion, enough to play on the doubts of a younger competitor like Kid. Also, like a Kevin Owens-type, what she says is technically the truth.)

-Hazuki & Kagetsu were backstage for their final match as a duo. Hazuki had her old school eye makeup on. She said it was the first time in a year. She asked why Kagetsu was wearing sunglasses. She took them off to expose that Kagetsu was only wearing a bit of makeup around the immediate eye area instead of the full moon like Hazuki. She asked if Kagetsu was motivated. Iwatani said it might be their last match but they’re the red and white belt champions.

(6) STARS (World Of Stardom Champion Mayu Iwatani & Wonder Of Stardom Champion Arisa Hoshiki) vs. OEDO TAI: TEAM MOON (Kagetsu & Hazuki)

Iwatani pinned Hazuki with a top rope moonsault.

WINNERS: Stars in 15:19.

-Hoshiki offered a handshake to Hazuki. They shook and hugged. Iwatani said she was able to bring the red belt back to Osaka but she was so tired and everything hurt. Hoshiki said it was her last time fighting Hazuki. There were a lot of heavy feelings but she wasn’t crying yet. It was a good thing, though, because Hazuki made her own decision.

(Pageot’s Perspective: Dave Meltzer reported that people within Stardom have said Hazuki’s decision to retire at age 22 is due to her desire to move on and live a normal life. Wrestling at Madison Square Garden this April (in the G1 Supercard dark match) was apparently the high point for her and enough to satisfy her. Bizarre, considering it was such a poorly-treated match. I would have thought winning the red belt would be more of a bucket list item. To each their own, I suppose.)

THANK YOU FOR VISITING

STARDOM GODDESS OF STARS DECEMBER 1, 2019 OSAKA, JAPAN AT OSAKA WORLD PAVILION AIRED ON STARDOM WORLD REPORT BY HARLEY R.
