Edison, N.J.
Report by Mike Kingston, PWTorch correspondent
Est Att. 900-1,000.
(A) Pre-Show Ernie Osiris and Alex Payne beat Mitch Franklin and Rhett Titus. Titus' "sexiest man alive" gimmick is pretty funny.
PPV Prazak and Leonard open the show with Claudio in the ring. He is scheduled to face Chris Hero. Larry Sweeney comes out w/Hero, Del Rey, and Bobby Demspey and refuse the match until "the money is right." Everyone leaves. Kind of a weird opening segment.
(1) Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black beat Jack Evans & Ruckus. Age of the Fall's entrance music is a girl screaming from a horror movie....that's it. No actual music. Necro Butcher and Jigsaw came out with their respective teams and battled to the back before the match. Decent fast paced opener although the heat wasn't there like you'd expect. Jacobs made Evans tap to a guillotine choke.
(2) Daizee Haze beat Sara Del Rey (with Sweet N Sour Inc) Claudio came after Hero which distracted Del Rey allowing Haze to get the roll up. Sweeney and Hero beat on Claudio. Bryan Danielson came out and claimed that SNS were everything wrong with wrestling and challenged Hero.
(3) Bryan Danielson beat Chris Hero via ref stoppage. Solid match with a lot of heat. Dragon grabbed both of Hero's hands and stomped him repeatedly in the face until the ref stopped it. Hero walked around like he had a concussion after the match.
(4) Adam Pearce called out Kevin Steen and invited him to join his faction with Whitmer and Albright. Claimed El Generico was holding him back as a goofy partner. Whitmer and Albright brought out Generico all beaten and they wanted Steen to beat him up to join the group. Steen hit Pearce and fought against all four (including Hagadorn) until Delirious made the save. Hangmen 3 (Pearce, Albright, Whitmer) beat Steen, Generico, and Delirious. Long beat down on Delirious which threatened to totally suck the heat from the crowd. The ending picked up a bit. Delirious bit Pearce's ear and he was bleeding from the ear (in rerturn for Pearce stapling Delirious' mask to his face on the last show) Albright snuck up behind him and hit a half nelson suplex for the win.
(5) Austin Aries defeated Roderick Strong in a really good match. Aries gave Strong a brainbuster off the apron through a table and brought him in the ring for a 450 for the win. Aries knees came down hard on Strong's chest and it looked like Aries may have twisted his ankle.

(6) Nigel McGuiness defeated Takeshi Morishima to win the ROH title. Hard hitting match. Story was Nigel kept going for his rebound lariat as the only move that could stop Morishima but Mori kept blocking it. Nigel hit a ton of lariats that Morishima kept kicking out of until finally nailing the rebound lariat for the pin.
Post-match... all the faces came out to celebrate with Nigel. Danielson came out for a brief shoving match.
Post PPV Claudio Castagnoli defeated Jigsaw in a really good lucha style match.
(B) Davey Richards & Rocky Romero beat Matt Cross & Erick Stevens when Cross was pinned. After the match, the NRC smacked Stevens' arm with a chair against the ringpost and then Richards put an armbar on him for a while. The stip was announced before the show as loser leaves for 60 days but it was not announced at the show as such.
(C) Necro Butcher beat Jay Briscoe in an anything goes match. Wild brawl that went all over the arena. Necro bled a ton (there were still wet puddles of blood on the arena floor as we were filing out) Lots of chair shots etc. Jay gave Necro a death valley driver off the apron through the floor. Eventually Jay had the match won when Jacobs and Black came out with Mark Briscoe on a handtruck wrapped in barbed wire with tape over his mouth. This distracted Jay and Necro blasted him with a chair and gave him a backbreaker over two chairs for the pin.
Notes: Overall a very solid wrestling show. I think the crowd heat wasn't at the level of previous PPVs, but that can be attributed somewhat to the venue as the Inman Sports Club is a sweatbox. They return to Edison on Jan 12th.
QUICK TIPS FOR SENDING RESULTS
If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to "matchresults07" (@pwtorch. com).
We accept reports in any format, but if it's not much trouble, please format your report like you see above, with the matches numbered like this (1) , (2) , (3) , with the opening line of each match paragraph stating who beat whom (don't just say Wrestler A vs. Wrestler beat with the result listed later; instead, state up front who won so those readers who don't have time to read the entire report (i. e. their boss walks past their cubicle all the time looking beat their shoulder) can at least quickly assess the results.
Also, please list tag teams using the "&" symbol as opposed to stating "and. " Reserve use of " and" when listing results in a three-way or four-way match where there are no teams (i. e. " Wrestler A beat Wrestler B and Wrestler C in a three-way match" ) so it is easy to differentiate a handicap match from a three-way match.
If you know HTML coding for bolding, you can also bold out the first line of each match description. If you don't know HTML symbols, then we can add those ourselves.
Special thanks to everyone who helps us with reports on live events!
