WWE Smackdown house show report
October 13, 2007
Brussel, Belgium
By Koen Verjans, PWTorch correspondent
It's a bit late, but here's my report from the Smackdown House Show in Brussels on 13 October.
Howard Finkel welcomed the fans and ran the card. From the start a great atmosphere and a very hot crowd.
(1) Jesse & Festus defeated Deuce 'n Domino. They got the pin after crossbody/gorilla press combination. Lot's of Deuce/Domino sucks chants.
(2) Kevin Thorn defeated unknown wrestler. The unknow wrestler received a big pop, but was pinned ofter the original sin.
(3) Chuck Palumbo defeated Dave Taylor. Taylor received a lot of heat after he entered with Regal's old entrance theme. Chuck Palumbo entered with a belgian motorbike and got a good reaction. Decent match.
Diva Contest: Michelle Mc Cool won it. Victoria went mad and attacked the faces, but Mc Cool cleared the ring in her very tiny skirt. Marise was soo hot.
(4) MVP defeated Matt Hardy to retain the U.S. Title. Solid match with MVP winning after he countered the victory roll. MVP built a lot of heat by always staying outside the ring for nine seconds. When Hardy went outisde, crowd went nuts. After the match Deuce 'n Domino attacked, but MVP and Hardy worked together and kicked their asses. MVP went for a cheap shot but he received a side effect. Hardy left with both the belts.
Intermission (funny moment: everybody saw Hornswoggle bene put under the ring)

(5) C.M. Punk defeated John Morrison for the ECW Title. Very good match with CM Punk going for the GTS and the pin. CM Punk was insanely over in Brussels. After the match Big Daddy V attacked Punk and gave him a Samoan drop (the ring was almost destroyed). Punk was brought backstage under a tremendous applouse. Match of the night.
(6) Kane & Undertaker defeated Chris Masters & Finlay. A fantastic entrance from The Undertaker; everyone had goosebumps. When Undertaker got the hot tag, the crowd went nuts and he chokeslammed both Finlay and Masters. A Tombstone for Finlay and the match was over. Hornswoggle was laid out before. Great old times with the Undertaker being insanely over.
(7) Batista defeated Khali and Rey Mysterio in a World Hvt. Title match. Khali was enormous, but Batista was over during the whole match. Some Eddie chants and one "you're fucked up" when Batista couldn't put Khali up for a spinebuster. Batista speared Khali for the 3count. Rey was a second too late. Batista celebrated with the Belgian flag.
Biggest pop
1) Taker
2) Punk
3) Batista
Biggest heat
1) Morrison
2) Khali
3) MVP
All in all, a great show with a great crowd. Eveyone said this is much better than any RAW show. Although I'm a big TNA fan, WWE suprised me a lot.
That was all, I hope you enjoy my report and sorry for my English.
QUICK TIPS FOR SENDING RESULTS
If you attend an arena event in future, either house shows or TV tapings, we encourage you to send us a report for publication. You can direct your reports to "matchresults07" (@pwtorch. com).
We accept reports in any format, but if it's not much trouble, please format your report like you see above, with the matches numbered like this (1) , (2) , (3) , with the opening line of each match paragraph stating who beat whom (don't just say Wrestler A vs. Wrestler beat with the result listed later; instead, state up front who won so those readers who don't have time to read the entire report (i. e. their boss walks past their cubicle all the time looking beat their shoulder) can at least quickly assess the results.
Also, please list tag teams using the "&" symbol as opposed to stating "and. " Reserve use of " and" when listing results in a three-way or four-way match where there are no teams (i. e. " Wrestler A beat Wrestler B and Wrestler C in a three-way match" ) so it is easy to differentiate a handicap match from a three-way match.
If you know HTML coding for bolding, you can also bold out the first line of each match description. If you don't know HTML symbols, then we can add those ourselves.
