1/5 WWE Raw in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.: Triple & Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton & Mr. Kennedy, Maria vs. Jillian, Cody vs. Vladimir Jan 6, 2008 - 4:40:40 PM
WWE Raw house show - afternoon show
January 5, 2007
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. at Mid-Hudson Civic Center
Report by Chris Palmatier, PWTorch correspondent
First thing is that Sign Guy was in the front row. Many fans went up and got pictures with him.
William Regal came to the ring in wrestling outfits and said he was giving a up and coming WWE wrestler a chance to prove to him he is a worthy Raw superstar.
(1) William Regal defeated D.H Smith. Smith really needs a lot of work to do. It seems like he cannot move when wrestling. After the match, Regal played the babyface role and shook Smith hand.
(2) Cody Rhodes defeated Vladimir Kozlov
(3) Super Crazy & Brian Kendrick defeated Charlie Hass & a partner. The only thing I can tell you is Haas's partner was wearing an Natural t-shirt. Match was okay. The other wrestler was pretty good and took a lot of bumps. He must be from OVW.
(4) Hardcore Holly defeated Trevor Murdoch.
(5) Maria defeated Jillina Hall This was one of the worst diva matches I have seen ever. The crowd started to boo because it looked like the diva were dancing. After the match Beth Phoenix came to ring. She went after Maria and did a better job of wrestling in 30 second than Maria and Jillian in 5 minutes.
Ashley made her WWE return and said she was happy to be back and wanted to sit at ringside to watch the action.
Santino Marella came to the ring and said he wanted to help Maria, but he had stomach problems. Plus he said Beth was bigger than him. He told he wanted anyone from the back to come to the ring and wrestle him.
(6) Atlas Dabone defeated Santino Marella. Real quick match. After the match Ashley left with Atlas.
(7) Snitney defeated Drew McIntyre.
(8) Triple & Jeff Hardy defeated Randy Orton & Mr. Kennedy. Good match nothing special.
Best babyface pops
1 Hardy
2 Triple H
3 Sign Guy
Most heel heat
1 Santino Marella
2 Randy Orton
3 Divia Match
NOTES: This was one of the worst show I have seen. I been to about 500 shows. The wrestler acted like they did not want to be there. Many of the matches the crowd acted like it was a tennis match. There was alot of kids at the show with John Cena or Rey t-shirts on. The area holds 3000 people and I say there was about 2000. The 7:30 show was sold out.
