1/5 WWE Raw in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.: Orton vs. Hardy, Kennedy vs. Triple H, JBL vs. McEntire Jan 6, 2008 - 4:55:19 PM
WWE Raw house show - evening show
January 5, 2007
Poughkeepsie, N.Y. at Mid-Hudson Civic Center
Report by Chris Palmatier, PWTorch correspondent
Sold out. People were everywhere they could fit them.
(1) Brian Kendrick defeated Vladimir Kozlov Good match. Vladimir did mic work before the match which was really nice. I think he might have a future in WWE and being from Russia is a plus because the crowd has heat with him.
(2) Snitsky defeated D.H. Smith. Smith once again did not do anything. Acted like he could not move again. Needs a lot of work.
(3) Super Crazy defeated a wrestler I didn't recognize. Same unknown wrestler as the first show. Once again, he was very good and took many bumps.
(4) Beth Phoenix defeated Maria.
Trevor Murdoch came out and said he needs a tag team partner because his partner was hurt. Santino Marella came out.
Jillian Hall came out and did her singing thing. In the middle of it JBL music hit. Crowd went crazy. JBL did great mic work trying to be a heel, but it did not work as the crowd cheered every thing he said.
(6) JBL defeated Drew McIntyre. The promo was longer. JBL was over big time.
(7) Triple H defeated Mr. Kennedy. Good match. Triple H was over with 3/4 of the crowd and the other 1/4 loved Kennedy. After the match Triple H got two girls in the crowd to take the tops off. Triple H made alot of DX hand moves.
(8) Randy Orton defeated Jeff Hardy with the RKO. The crowd was watching a fight in the crowd for the first five minutes of the match. Not a good match. Hardy is big time over.
Most Cheers
1. Jeff Hardy
2. Triple H
3. JBL
Most Heel Heat
1. Santino Marella
2. Randy Orton
NOTES: This second show of the day in this arena was a lot better. I don't know if it was because of the sold out crowd or just because JBL was on the show.
