Lake Charles, La.
Report by Robert Greif and Bobby Miller, PWTorch reader
Before the show, fans with front row seats were able to do a meet and greet with TNA wrestlers. Kazarian, Hamada, Beer Money, Mr. Anderson, Jeremy Borash, Desmond Wolfe, Doug Williams, and the Machineguns came out. Kurt Angle then came to a table by the merchandise stand and signed autographs and took pictures.
The show started with Jeremy Borash coming out to tell fans that if they are loud, they get backstage passes. After that tease, Borash announced that Desmond Wolfe won't allow any fans backstage, but Borash grabbed passes and told the audience to get loud.
(1) X Division champion Doug Williams beat Kazarian to retain the X Division Title. Great back and forth match. Williams had a lot of heel heat and got the win with his rolling German Suplex into a bridge for the win.
(2) Knockouts champion Madison Rayne beat Hamada to retain the Knockouts Title. Rayne reversed a top-rope cross body for the win.
(3) Samoa Joe beat Desmond Wolfe. Joe had this crowd on his side. Both men worked great throughout the match. Joe worked over Wolfe on the outside with some hard-hitting chops. Wolfe then grabbed the upper hand for a bit, but Joe hit the Muscle Buster for the win.
Jeff Jarrett then came out. He basically thanked the fans for supporting TNA and plugged the Slammiversary PPV.
(4) Kurt Angle beat Mr. Anderson. Great match. Angle got the win with the Angle Slam.
[Intermission. Madison Rayne and Kaz were at the merchandise stand signing autographs.]
(5) Motor City Machineguns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) beat Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Storm. Another good match.
It was time for the main event of TNA World Hvt. champion Rob Van Dam vs. A.J. Styles. Borash then told the crowd Styles's flight has been delayed and he won't be able to make it. They started a ten count on Styles, but Booker T's music suddenly hit.
Booker said he is here for the TNA World Title and the crowd goes nuts for RVD. Booker says he doesn't give a damn about TNA or the fans.
(6) TNA World Hvt. champion Rob Van Dam beat Booker T to retain the TNA World Title. RVD retained with the Five Star Frogsplash.
After the match, RVD stayed in the ring to take pictures with the fans. Overall, another great TNA house show.
