WWE Raw brand house show report
June 12, 2010
Roanoke, Va.
Report by Tyrone Dudley, PWTorch reader

(1) R-Truth beat John Morrison and The Miz in a three-way match to retain the U.S. Title. Very fun match. The Miz was entertaining throughout the match. All three delivered innovative moves and showed they're ready for a bigger role on Raw.

Edge cut a promo about injuring Randy Orton and predicting that he would win the WWE Title at the Fatal Four-Way PPV. Evan Bourne came out and cut a promo about Edge talking too much. They fought and when Bourne got the best of Edge to set up for the Shooting Star Press, Edge bailed.

(2) Great Khali beat William Regal. Regal doesn't deserve this, but he made the best of the situation.

(3) Mark Henry beat Ted DiBiase. DiBiase first cut a promo explaining that he gave Virgil the weekend off and he needed a replacement. Me being both black and broke, I volunteered, but he didn't hear me. The match was pretty good. DiBiase worked pretty well with Henry's lack of movement.

(4) Yoshi Tatsu beat Zach Ryder. Very entertaining match. I could see them feuding in the mid-card for a while.

(5) Dos Caras beat Goldust. The new guy cut a promo, then said he'd rather do it in Spanish. Our section started an "English only" chant (shame on us). Goldust is still looking good at his age. Caras was pretty good on the mic and in the ring.

(6) Vladimir Kozlov beat Santino Marella in a dance-off. The crowd was pretty 50/50, so Savannah just gave it to Kozlov. Then, Santino made Savannah dance.

(7) Divas champion Eve beat Maryse to retain the Divas Title match. Pretty good match. Eve is trying to get better. Maryse clearly has the best charisma of any Diva on the roster.

(8) WWE champion John Cena beat Sheamus via DQ, Cena retained the WWE Title. Sheamus told Cena that he saw him get injured in the NXT Invasion and it would be best if Cena just took the loss. Cena said he couldn't because Roanoke wouldn't get to see him do this... and proceeded to beat him down. Edge ran interference and then Evan Bourne evened the odds. Cena said they should make this a tag match. Edge and Sheamus obliged (they always do).

(9) WWE champion John Cena and Evan Bourne beat Edge & Sheamus in a main event tag match. Hot action. The unintentional highlight was this weird dude in a ponytail and sleeveless shirt flipping off Cena in front of very young kids. The finish was a double pin with Bourne hitting the Shooting Star Press (just as impressive in person) and Cena hitting the Attitude Adjustment at the same time.

Biggest Pops: Cena, R-Truth, John Morrison
Biggest Heat: The Miz, Edge, Sheamus

I just want to make a plea to the public. If you see your favorite wrestler eating in a restaurant, don't bother them for pictures. No one asks for your picture when you go to the grocery store after you get off work. Also, don't flip off and/or swear at wrestlers when there are children nearby. That's just classless. You can boo, but don't be a horrible example. Off soapbox.
