WWE Smackdown house show results
March 25, 2012
Nashville, Tenn.
Report by Brad Willis, PWTorch reader

Nashville is due for a Pay-Per-View. It's been since May 2002 Judgment Day, and the lower bowl was relatively full for a house show. Nashville is a huge WWE market.

(1) The Great Khali beat Jinder Mahal with a two-handed chokeslam.

World Hvt. champion Daniel Bryan cut a heel promo on the house show entrance video. Bryan built up the main event triple threat match against Randy Orton and the Big Show. By the way, the house show entrance is an excellent addition.

Hunico (along with Camacho) cut a promo touting themselves as the future of WWE.

(2) Hunico (w/Camacho) beat Tyson Kidd with a schoolboy after Camacho interfered. A great technical match between these two.

(3) Drew McIntyre beat Ezekiel Jackson in just over six minutes with a double arm DDT.

After the match, Cody Rhodes hit the ring and attacked Jackson with the Cross Rhodes. Rhodes then cut a promo promoting his WrestleMania match with Big Show.

Next was the advertised Jerry Lawler vs. Michael Cole Street Fight. Before the match, Cole cut a heel promo proclaiming his greatness, based on the anniversary of his "victory" over Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania 27. Lawler then cut a promo reminding him that he lost the "Kiss My Foot" re-match. Lawler also pointed out country music artists Trace Adkins and Randy Houser in the crowd. Cole then called out Hunico and Camacho to serve as his back-up.

(4) Jerry Lawler beat Michael Cole in a Street Fight. Hunico and Camacho attacked Lawler until Great Khali cleared house. Lawler won in just over six minutes with his patented fist drop. Of note, Cole wrestled in his orange WrestleMania 27 gear.

(5) Sheamus beat Mark Henry with the Brogue Kick in a 10-minute match. A good match between these two that saw a good bit of brawling.

[Intermission]

(6) Divas champion Beth Phoenix & Natalya beat Alicia Fox & Tamina. The heels won in just over eight minutes when Phoenix hit the Glam Slam on Tamina.

(7) IC champion Cody Rhodes beat Justin Gabriel to retain the Intercontinental Title. Rhodes won with The Beautiful Disaster in a match that went over ten minutes. This was a great match with several nearfalls.

(8) World Hvt. champion Daniel Bryan beat Randy Orton and Big Show in a three-way match to retain the World Title. Bryan won after Rhodes interfered, allowing Orton to hit the RKO on Big Show. Orton went for the pin, but Bryan threw him out of the ring, getting the cover and the win.

Post-match, Orton gave the RKO to Bryan, and Show delivered the chokeslam to Rhodes. Orton then shook hands with ringside fans as the show ended.

Biggest Pops:

- Randy Orton
- Sheamus
- Jerry Lawler
- Big Show

Biggest Heat:

- Michael Cole
- Cody Rhodes
- Mark Henry
- Daniel Bryan
