Torch Indy Weekend Results: ROH PPV results, Samoa Joe in Missouri

WEEKEND RESULTS, NEWS & NOTES
ROH results are below. SPOILER: Nigel McGuinness won the heavyweight title on Saturday when he defeated Takeshi Morishima. ROH had to alter the lineups throughout the week after injuries forced Mike Quackenbush and Mark Briscoe off the show.
Samoa Joe competed in Missouri on Saturday for Lethal Wrestling Alliance. Results are below.
The Florida-based tagteam, the Heartbreak Express, won an AWA tag tournament in Wisconsin Saturday that featured 18 teams. The HBE will defend those titles on Oct. 21 in San Francisco as part of the Wrestling Fan Fest.
IWA Mid-South canceled its show that was slated for Sunday, continuing a string of cancellations & wrestler no-shows. It’s not been a good six-month stretch for this promotion.
In other news…
Delirious and Jimmy Jacobs will be headed to Florida on Oct. 24 to compete for Action Zone Wrestling. Details are below.
The next Pro Wrestling Syndicate show will be on Dec. 9, in Lake Hiawatha, N.J., with Necro Butcher vs. Sabu, Jay Lethal vs. Human Tornado, Justin Credible vs. Kevin Matthews, and an appearance by Dr. Death Steve Williams.
I’ve updated the lineup below for the next CZW show on Oct. 13 (featuring Human Tornado vs. Ruckus.) I’ve also updated the lineup for the next IWA Mid-South show on Oct. 13.
It’s been a COUPLE MONTHS since I saw any local wrestling in Minnesota, as there is just nothing planned lately. But, I’ll be heading to the AWA RUSH show Friday in Mankato, Minn. Unfortunately, it is the final RUSH show, leaving local wrestlers with even fewer options than before.
