MIDWEEK NEWS & NOTES
The big news of the day is that Nigel McGuinness is injured and will miss the ROH shows this weekend. Nigel, who just became the ROH World Heavyweight champion, has been on quite a hot streak, and this is a big blow for ROH.
The Northeast Wrestling show on Saturday in Pennsylvania included Kurt Angle, Jerry Lawler, Abyss and Jim Neidhart. Details of that show are below.
I forgot to mention it Monday, but Teddy Hart did indeed make his return at the end of the JAPW show (now that he’s been released from WWE), and Hart attacked his long-time nemesis, Homicide.
DVD reviews: I have just finished an ROH review of one of the Japan shows. I should have one a day this week, as I have finished a Chikara Pro show, a Jersey All Pro show, and a Pro Wrestling Guerrilla show. Then, I’ll wrap up the ROH trip to Japan! Future reviews will include my first IWR DVD from the Michigan area and a new DVD from AWA RUSH in Minnesota.
And you can always reach me with your indy results at chrisjvetter@hotmail.com. I request that you remember to say date, location (including building, city & state!), and full name of the promotion.
