TNA wrestler Kevin Nash will be in Montreal tonight wrestling against Carl Ouellet, one-half of the former Quebecers tag team in WWE, in a match that's being hyped as a potential "shoot match" 15 years in the making.

Nash says he upped his independent booking price 25 percent for the IWS promotion to book him for tonight's show. He says he also requested first-class service from Florida to Montreal if he was going to face Ouellet, who he doesn't think very highly of.

"I gave the IWS a price that was 25 percent above what I normally charge and it's not cheap to fly somebody first-class from Orlando to Montreal," Nash told Tim Baines of the Edmonton Sun. "They said 'Yes, let's do it.' I guess somebody's got an axe to grind."

The animosity between Nash and Ouellet started in 1995 when Nash was the WWF champion wrestling as Diesel. Ouellet refused to lose to Nash at a house show in Montreal because he didn't want to lose in Canada, which prompted the Kliq of Nash and Shawn Michaels to fight back.

Nash and Michaels were close to WWE chairman Vince McMahon at the time. Nash says he had enough of Ouellet and told McMahon to fix the problem.

Shawn Michaels wrote in his book (pg. 206): "We had this pirate guy, Jean Pierre Lafitte, and he didn't want to put Kevin over. Kevin was the champion and Lafitte was fairly low on the card. The champion beat all of us. So we buried him, but we did it to his face. We let him know everything we were doing. We called Vince up and told him that 'the pirate needs to go.'"

Fast-forward to 2009 and Nash says he isn't sure what to expect from his match against Ouellet tonight, but he's prepared to fight if needed.

"If he wants to go, I'll be happy to fight. I've been a bouncer in some pretty rough places," Nash told Tim Baines. "I'm not flying up to Montreal walking with my hands down."
