[PRESS RELEASE] Independent Superstars of Professional Wrestling presents "The War To Settle The Score" this Saturday evening, August 22 at the ISPW Arena (3-2 Count Athletic Training Facility) located on 323A Fairfield Road in Freehold, N.J. to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association with an 8:00 p.m. start. This Saturday night, the biggest feuds in the ISPW realm will hopefully see their ends. But the biggest battle of the night will be you joining us in the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. ISPW is honored to be able to help raise money for such an important cause just two weeks prior to the 44th Annual Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon.
The main event for this very special event is the biggest in the history of ISPW. It will pit ISPW Champion vs. ISPW Champion in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match featuring Judas Young and Danny Inferno. The winner of this match will be crowned the Undisputed ISPW World Heavyweight Champion.
Young and Inferno have been in a heated feud over the last year which recently saw Inferno stage his own retirement in an effort to one-up his former best friend. Both performers, who appeared in Mickey Rourke's hit movie, "The Wrestler," are currently in intense training for what they are both looking to showcase as the greatest match in the history of independent wrestling this Saturday night. 89.5 FM WSOU's Brian Wisowaty will be the special guest ring announcer for this epic match.
WWE Hall of Famer The Iron Sheik will be inducted into the ISPW Hall of Fame this Saturday night at this very special event in Freehold, NJ. Sheik, the former General Manager of ISPW, will join former five-time ISPW World Heavyweight Champion Ace Darling as the second member inducted into ISPW's Hall of Fame. There will only be one man humbled at The War To Settle The Score this Saturday night and that's the former WWF Heavyweight Champion!
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion Nunzio will finally get his hands on ISPW General Manager "Mr. Personality" Nicholas Nice this Saturday night in Freehold, NJ. Nice has been trying to run Nunzio out of ISPW ever since ISPW: The Return back in April. After several months of failed attempts by Nice, including hiring Hardcore Holly to try and take Nunzio out once and for all, Nunzio finally gets a one on one match with the General Manager. If there was ever a match to be labeled "The War To Settle The Score" for Saturday's actioned packed card, it's this one! This match is so big that it needed a special guest ring announcer, and 101.1 WCBS FM is sending Broadway Bill Lee to do the honors. Broadway is one of the most popular DJs in the world today and ISPW is honored to have him apart of this huge event this Saturday night in Freehold, N.J.!
The New Jersey Devils will be sending Grant Marshall to Freehold, N.J. this Saturday night to be the special guest timekeeper for the Julio Dinero vs. Flash match. This match has been brewing for several months, as Flash has been expressing his displeasure with how Dinero has been treating his valet, the lovely Miss Michelle. The two will lock horns for the first time ever this Saturday night and with the addition of Grant Marshall involved in this match, this is one match you will not want to miss!
Other action packed matches signed for this Saturday night include a Loser Leaves ISPW Match pitting Danny Doring against Christian York, "The Detonator" Rick Fuller taking on Chase Del Monte in a battle of undefeated ISPW Superstars, Pro Wrestling Noah's Bobby Fish making his ISPW debut against Crowbar, The Logan Brothers in tag team action against "The Escort" Erik Andretti & a partner yet to be named, and fan favorite Baby Hughie in action.
The Sky Band will also be performing this Saturday night in Freehold, NJ at this very special event. They will be performing Judas Young's theme song live for his main event match against Danny Inferno. The Sky Band is ready to rock the ISPW Arena!
