Former WWE and TNA wrestler Booker T is getting the word out that he's ready for another pro wrestling run, but it won't necessarily be with WWE or TNA.

During an interview with Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com after last night's "Strikeforce: Houston" fight card, Booker was asked whether he wants to return to WWE or TNA. Booker paused and said, "maybe neither."

"There's a lot of things brewing out there right now. I'm not an ego hog. I don't need to be in the limelight or anything like that. I just love doing what I do. I'm the most decorated champion in wrestling history," Booker said before briefly entering wrestler promo mode. "I have no aspirations of trying to repeat what I've done. Like I said, it's about the next generation and evolution."

Earlier in the interview, Booker said he believes "pro wrestling is hurting pro wrestling" with the lack of future stars rising up the ranks. He said he believes that's taking away from pro wrestling's business more than anything MMA is doing, especially in the PPV business department.

"I really don't think it's hurting pro wrestling. I think pro wrestling is hurting pro wrestling," Booker said. "Everybody always wants to say their generation was the best, but when I was watching wrestling, I was watching men wrestle. Now, you see a lot of kids out there wrestling. Maybe they're preparing for the next generation and you have to prepare for the future - who's going to be doing WrestleMania 20 years ago. I don't think it's taking away from wrestling. I just think wrestling is hurting for talent right now."

Booker added that he doesn't believe he'll ever retire from pro wrestling and he'll be back in the business in some capacity. Booker's name has been rumored for the rumored Wilpon Family promotion based out of Florida, which Booker hinted at in the interview, cited above.

"I'm never going to be done with wrestling. Wrestling is what made me who I am right now. I'm going to be back somewhere in some capacity," he said, before smiling and adding, "I look too good not to get back out there and do my thing. My wife just had twins and I just felt like it was time to take a break after 20 years of wrestling to rejuvenate and get ready to come back strong."
