Monday night on Twitter, Ring of Honor wrestler "Skullcrusher" Rasche Brown abruptly announced he quit ROH.

"Just quit ROH...good luck in your future endeavors," Brown said. "Remember, always remain in control! Keep it real 24 7."

Brown explained his decision to quit on the Pro Wrestling Report radio show that aired last night on ESPN 540 in Milwaukee.

"This is the deal. I missed a flight for TV (this past weekend's ROH TV tapings in Philadelphia). And, everybody knew I was on vacation. I drove my family on a long trek and I got home and set my alarm for PM instead of AM. So, I woke up as my flight was taking off. I missed the flight," he said. "I rectified the situation, I thought, so I was going to make it there Saturday, but they canceled my other flight back home, so I wasn't going to end up losing more money than I was going to make."

Brown said he was told his punishment was being removed from the Boston house show on September 10 and the "Glory By Honor IV" Internet PPV on September 11 in New York City.

"It's my fault. I said, 'Next week, I'll drive to Virginia and record what they needed for TV on my dime.' No, they did not want to hear that option. Instead, they want to punish men. I'm a grown-ass man; you don't punish me. You don't take me off the PPV and the Boston show. You, Mr. Power Man, say you have to punish me for an accident. You don't have to do that," he said.

"I'm in control of my life; I'm in control of my career. I wasn't invented a year ago when I came to Ring of Honor. That's not where my legacy ends. You don't play that game with me. You accept the mistake I made, I gave you a viable option, and you want to punish me? I believe that's the end of the road."

Brown said he has been wrestling while affected by concussion issues for nearly one year. He said he won't let a promoter control him, especially when he doesn't believe promoters consider his personal health.

"I've been wrestling with post-concussion syndrome for the past nine months and none of these things factor into promoter's thoughts and minds. So, when I see one of my best friends fired for no apparent reason, how expendable am I? I'm not the dude you're going to exploit. The wrestling business does not own me.

"If you cut off your nose to spite your face, I don't want to be part of that," Brown said. "If they ever try to exploit you in this business, you fight back, and that's what I did. I'm not going to be somebody's example for a locker room because that's exactly what the goal was."

Audio: Brown's entire explanation can be heard on the PWR Show in the audio below. Brown's comments pick up at the 56:45 mark.
