TNA News: Week three for two-hour TNA Impact sees drop in audience level (w/Keller Analysis) Oct 19, 2007 - 5:07:35 PM
TNA Impact drew a 1.0 rating last night (1.3 million viewers). That's down from the ratings for the first two editions of the two-hour Impact.
WK ANALYSIS: This is within the margin of error for Nielson's Ratings, so no reason to panic, but if TNA had hopes that the two hour format alone would lead to an increase, that's not happening. I know that some top Spike TV officials are surprised the rating is holding up as a well as it is, as there was fear (based on not knowing how pro wrestling TV shows have performed in the past) that there would be an audience drop as people chose which hour to watch, rather than watching both. That has not happened. With better booking, though, TNA Impact has the talent in the ring and on the mic to increase its audience every week. Instead, as our polls show, there is a wide spread of opinion on the quality of the show, and those who are frustrated with the booking aren't watching every week or are being turned away entirely.
