TNA News: Sting vs. Angle last week on Impact failed to draw best quarter hour rating of show Oct 29, 2007 - 4:47:00 PM
TNA Impact last week drew a 1.0 rating (0.98 to be statistically insignificantly precise), a letdown since it featured a rematch between Kurt Angle and Sting in a match that had been sold to its fans for more than a month as the ultimate dream match worthy of headining its biggest annual PPV.
Not only was the overall rating a letdown, but the match itself, amazingly drew a smaller rating than the opening quarter hour and the final quarter hour.
Impact opened with a 1.1 rating, and then saw a relatively sharp dropoff to 0.87 for Q2, then dropped even more to a 0.86 for the final 30 minutes of hour one.
Sting vs. Angle drew a mere 0.91 rating to start the second hour. The rating went up slightly for the finish of their match, then dropped to 0.95, and grew to 0.98 to close out the show as the controversial outcome of Sting-Angle was addressed by Jim Cornette.`
