TNA News: Mick Foley previews TNA Title defense on Sunday, says he's been watching old Cactus Jack tapes, blogs on Buddy Rose

TNA World Hvt. champion Mick Foley says he hopes to leave the Sacrifice PPV on Sunday in equally "okay" shape after wrestling in the four-way main event title match. Foley says he's been watching some old Cactus Jack tapes from earlier in his career to help motivate him for Sunday's PPV.

"I sure hope I come out of Sacrifice okay, uninjured, and still in possession of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, if just to do more cool things with JB in the Founder's office, which sure looks like my office now," Foley said on his MySpace page.

Foley says watching the old tapes with his family for inspiration has allowed his children to put the pieces together on why he struggles to walk like a normal person.

"I've been watching some of my old matches, trying to get that 'eye of the tiger' back," Foley said. "I certainly worked hard in those days (1994 and 1995), even on the indy shows, especially one in Vegas where Sabu and I wrestled all over the venerable Silver Nugget casino, including a piledriver on a blackjack table ... My daughter looked at me at one point in that match and said, 'Is that why you walk so slow now, dad?'"

Foley says he hopes re-living a time period earlier in his career when he sacrificed his body every night will have a "positive effect on my performance Sunday."

Foley also took the time to self-deprecate about his physical condition by blogging about "Playboy" Buddy Rose, who Foley says recognized his hard work in the early 1990s before anyone gave him a shot in WWE.

Rose's famous match with Doug Summers against Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty from the AWA was recently on ESPN Classics. Foley says he marveled at how well Rose moved for an out-of-shape wrestler to create a compelling match with the much-younger Rockers.

"I appreciated it, and I enjoyed it; constantly thinking to myself, 'man that Buddy Rose moves good for such a horrible looking guy.' Hopefully, fans will be saying the same thing about me on Sunday night," Foley said.

FYI: Mick Foley will defend the TNA World Title against Sting, Jeff Jarrett, and Kurt Angle in a four-way title match at the Sacrifice PPV on Sunday. TNA's official PPV line-up.
