TNA star Kevin Nash says he's not leaving it up to himself on when he's going to retire from pro wrestling. He says he's been through too many surgeries and injuries in his career to let his body tell him when he's done.

"Right now I don't even put it in my hands anymore. I've been hurt so many times and for some reason why I keep coming back," Nash told Main Event radio in a recent interview. "So God will tell me when it's time to go. When I get cut out and I can't come back that'll be the end of it. As long as I can keep coming back and it gives me a reason to get up in the morning, to train harder."

Nash isn't going anywhere, he says, so he's going to continue as a top star in TNA. He says he's not just going to take losses to younger wrestlers for the sake of enhancing another wrestler.

"I don't mind putting anybody over as long as they're worthy and that they can draw money. I'm not going to put somebody over just to put somebody over. If it's good for business and it makes sense," Nash said. "I'm nearing 50 years old in July and at this point if you don't start looking for somebody to hand the torch to, you're an idiot."

Nash is scheduled to face A.J. Styles at the Victory Road PPV this Sunday and he says Styles is one of the wrestlers in the company who will take over for him when he leaves. Styles was a top star in the company before Nash came on the scene, but Nash is talking more about the big picture of wrestling stars in the business as a whole.

"Once his mic skills get better, which I think they've improved immensely, he has that intangible that Shawn Michaels had," Nash said about Styles. "He's electric and you kind of have to just be there for him. He can create so much movement around you that you can just basically, you know – he just uses you as a prop. He really is phenomenal."

Nash coined the "creating movement" term in a Torch Talk with Torch editor Wade Keller in 2005. Styles will certainly be called to do just that at this month's TNA PPV during their Legends Title match.

Nash said he's also very high on Robert Roode and James Storm of Beer Money, Samoa Joe, Motor City Machineguns, and Matt Morgan. Nash said it's not easy working with Samoa Joe, who he said basically works stiff.

"They've moved him around into some different places but I think that the thing about him is that he's not the quintessential wrestling guy," Nash said of Joe. "He's very different but his uniqueness makes him come across. I wrestle him often - it's not a night in the park. He's very physical, the things he does to you hurt, and I think all those things add to his believability."
