-- Former TNA agent and creative team writer Scott D'Amore has been brought back to TNA after being released by the company earlier this year. D'Amore recently worked with the Knockouts Division. His re-hiring is part of the TNA management shake-up that followed Jeff Jarrett being sent home and the firings of Dutch Mantell (writing team) and Savio Vega (agent). prowrestling.net report.

-- New Japan Pro Wrestling issued a press release officially acknowledging the British Invasion tag team as the IWGP tag team champions. British Invasion was scripted to win the belts from Team 3D on the July 30 episode of TNA Impact, but New Japan issued a press release saying they would not recognize the title change. New Japan is now officially recognizing the title change prior to the BI vs. Team 3D title match at the Hard Justice PPV on Sunday. U.K. Sun report.

-- Former TNA wrestler Johnny Devine was interviewed on examiner.com about his TNA career, specifically the PPV opening match against Eric Young where the Impact Zone caught on fire, working with Raven in the Seretonin group, working with Alex Shelley and Kevin Nash during the Paparazzi era, and working with Team 3D as their stooge when he was X Division champion.

The match between Devine and Young took place at the Hard Justice 2006 PPV when they opened the event and the arena caught on fire. Devine said TNA could have turned it into a positive, but he wasn't supposed to be a featured act.

"Dealing with the fact that Eric and I were having a GREAT match when it happened and that our match would be forgotten due to the fire was harder to deal with," Devine said. "I wanted to capitalize on the fire and have them let me get the "TNA is on Fire" shirts over saying I get enough heat that I start buildings on fire, and other such fire related slogans. But getting over was not allowed for me at that point."
