The October 8 episode of TNA Impact continuing the build-up to the Bound for Glory PPV averaged a 1.01 rating, which was down 10.1 percent from the previous week's 1.12 rating.

The show averaged a 0.97 first hour and 1.05 second hour. The show appears to have nice, steady build-up throughout the show, but the show actually peaked at the beginning of the second hour and slid all the way to a 0.96 quarter-hour rating from 10:30 to 10:45 p.m. leading to the end of the show.

Quarter-Hour Notes

-- The show's highest quarter-hour rating was a 1.12 rating at the beginning of the second hour for the eight-Knockout tag match. No surprise there, as the weekly Knockout feature segment typically draws one of the highest ratings of the show.

-- The show's lowest quarter-hour rating was from 9:15 to 9:30 p.m. featuring Kevin Nash vs. Hernandez in a Legends Title match without any hype. The segment also included two commercial breaks and one of many non-finishes on the show.

-- The final half-hour of the show was the least-watched portion of the second hour when TNA should have built an audience to see the conclusion to the weekly episode. Instead, the next-to-last quarter-hour averaged a 0.96 rating for the Bobby Lashley-Samoa Joe brawl with two commercial breaks. The final quarter-hour, with the Mick Foley & Kurt Angle vs. Abyss & Matt Morgan match, increased only slightly to a 1.01 rating.

-- The top-rated male segment of the show was the A.J. Styles-Sting-Kurt Angle conversation in the sixth quarter-hour of the show that benefited from the Knockouts lead-in. That 15-minute stretch only featured one commercial break.
