TNA Bound for Glory PPV Live Report
October 18, 2009
Live from Irvine, Calif.
Report by J. Peters, Torch reader

This was my second TNA event. I was also at the house show in Anaheim on November 1, 2008.

The Bren Center is tiny. I've been to several graduations there. You could have the worst seats and still see all the action. The upper seating area to the right of the entrance/ramp was virtually empty. My friend, who ordered our tickets, said he checked yesterday and those seats were still unsold.

The entire arena was filled with smoke from all the fireworks; it was even in the bathrooms.

There was a guy in my area who had a sign with a giant "2" on it that he held up during every nearfall, so there were a ton of "TWO!" chants.

It was real easy to get a chant going, as the crowd was
into everything. Even the smallest chant started by one person would be picked up probably because the arena was so small.

People were hoping neither Daniels nor Suicide would get suplexed from the top of the scaffolding.

Knockouts tag match was way short and Earl Hebner got his typical "You screwed Bret" chant when he came down for this match and the main event.

Crowd really didn't know what was going on during the second Knockouts match when Tara left. Most assumed that whoever was being escorted out was a plant because how often do hot blondes not on the roster get into fights at wrestling events?

Crowd was RED HOT for Samoa Joe. Lashley got an initial pop during his entrance, but after that, it was all Joe. At one point the people in front of me, who were pro-Lashley, yelled his name and I immediately yelled SUCKS! Soon after a Lashley sucks chant started; not that I'm taking credit for it. The crowd continued to cheer for Joe post-match and he acknowledged it as he left.

People in my section started a huge "You f----- up" chant in my area during the Foley-Abyss match after the ref's mistaken three count. The rest of arena kept it going.

Matt Morgan received a post-match pop that he acknowledged, but during the match it was all Angle.

During Sting's post-match speech, someone in the back of the arena kept calling him a has-been and other things that really set the crowd off. If there was any booing heard during the speech, it was in reaction to that guy.

Overall, it was great event aside from the smoke.
