TNA's Jeff Jarrett says he expects the battle between WWE and TNA to be a "different game" by the end of 2010 with the addition of Hulk Hogan to the promotion.

Jarrett said the right things in an interview promoting an upcoming house show about TNA receiving a boost by adding the "most recognizable name in professional wrestling."

Jarrett said competing with WWE puts them in the conversation to start the year and their goal is to be at WWE's level by the end of the year.

"Are we going to come right out of the gate and beat them (WWE)? Are we claiming that? Absolutely not," Jarrett said. "But we're in the game, and competition is good. We are very optimistic that by the end of 2010, it'll be a different game."

Caldwell's Analysis: Barring a major spike in interest for TNA's product domestically by year's end, the main way TNA will be able to show they're "at WWE's level" by the end of 2010 will be continuing to expand their presence globally. The addition of the major TV deal in Africa coupled with more international tours will give them some bullet points to say they're "competing well" with WWE around the world. Domestically, they can't draw people anywhere near WWE's level on TV or at live events, but the company's future growth is international markets where they can get a foothold competing with WWE.
