Ric Flair says TNA has a muzzle on him on the microphone one month into his TNA run, but he believes he'll be unleashed soon to start cutting classic Flair promos beyond the short soundbytes he's delivered as manager for TNA World Hvt. champion A.J. Styles.

"I'm just getting going. They still got me on a muzzle up there, but when I get going and when they turn me loose in TNA, then we'll really get going," Flair said on the Monday Night Mayhem radio show on Monday. "I will enhance their (fans) view of my reputation and make them very proud I came out of retirement."

Flair says he has a lot of ideas for TNA, including turning A.J. Styles into "A.J. Stylin' and Profilin'," but he has no desire to work in a creative team capacity other than giving wrestlers input on how to work short TV matches.

"I have no interest of being part of creating storylines or creating anything. I'm there primarily with A.J. and he I will compete together against everyone else on the show (to outperform the roster)," Flair said. "I can teach guys. When you have to wrestle a whole match in five minutes, it's confusing and it's hard for the young guys to learn. I can make it so much better and I will offer my help on that, but that's the extent of it."

Flair also commented on working with Hulk Hogan, TNA president Dixie Carter, and Kurt Angle in the interview.

-- On working with Hogan: "They have a guy (Hogan) that's running the company and - don't make any mistake, I'm not putting him over for anything more than what he is - he is arguably the biggest star in the history of the business. It's right there between him and Steve Austin. He's a guy that everything he touches turns to gold, he has a vision, and he wants to make a point. Very few times in the experiences of my life that I've known Hulk Hogan have I ever seen something not come true, sometimes much to my dismay."

-- On working with TNA president Dixie Carter: "Another very important point is they have a leader in Dixie Carter who's ready to step up and accept the challenges. She's looking forward to the future, not to beat anybody, but be competitive and have the best product."

"I have struggled with self-confidence issues the last 15 years and the Vince McMahons and the people that I worked with there (in WWE) reinforced it. I used to ask Vince how he keeps his game face on all day long. He said, 'I have to.' I've never asked Dixie Carter that before, but I'm sure she's dealing with mind-boggling issues and I can't imagine how big her plate gets. Yet, she takes time to talk to me on a personal level."

-- On Kurt Angle: "They probably have the best wrestler I've seen in a long time, and I love all my friends in WWE, but Kurt Angle is a machine. He's a different kind of cat. He lives and breathes a different kind of oxygen. He has nothing to prove, but our good friend who just passed away, Jack Brisco, and Kurt Angle are two of the most phenomenal athletes to make the cross-over (from amateur wrestling)."
