TNA wrestler Mick Foley says he's taking a hiatus from being on TNA's TV programming for an undetermined length of time. Foley appeared on the Pain Clinic Radio show on Saturday morning to update his status with the company and talk about freshening up his character by taking time off.

"It feels nice to be off for a little while. I enjoyed being part of the show, but I had been on there for quite a while in a heavily featured role," Foley said. "I think there's a reason why TV shows do better when they have a hiatus every now and then. I guess that's what I'm taking right now - a hiatus."

Foley also talked about filming a TV/Internet show pilot with Mr. Anderson for black20.com. Foley said he's not sure where the series will end up, but he felt good about the material they were working with.

"Every pilot is an uphill climb, but it was fun and it was wrestling related, and it does not talk down to wrestling fans like some wrestling projects have," Foley said.

In the interview, Foley also talked about outside-of-wrestling projects, some features in his forthcoming "Countdown to Lockdown" book, and other subjects. Audio from the Pain Clinic is linked above.
