Jim Cornette, who worked behind-the-scenes in TNA from 2006 to 2009, ranted on TNA moving back to Thursday nights and Bubba the Love Sponge getting himself fired last week during his latest "Cornette's Commentary" podcast.

Cornette looked at the tangled web in TNA where Bubba was fired by Dixie Carter, who is taking advice from Eric Bischoff and Hulk Hogan, who got Bubba into the wrestling business and advised Carter to move to Monday nights. Now, after being fired, Bubba is ripping Carter and the TNA product, which Hogan and Bischoff have tried to formulate with Vince Russo, all at the same time TNA was forced to move back to Thursday nights because the product didn't work on Monday nights.

"How did Bubba the Love Sponge get into the wrestling business? He was buddies with Hulk Hogan and Hulk Hogan apparently is the one who has taught him everything about professional wrestling, so I think he's parroting Hogan's opinions from before Hulk went to TNA for a large amount of money to basically send their ratings plummeting and send them screaming from the Monday Night War," Cornette said. "He (Bubba) disparages the wrestling fans, calls the product crap - when it is a crappy product - but he was one of the crappiest part of it, and then knocks the people in the company he hasn't really known long enough to form an opinion."

Cornette said the people must hurt by this situation are the wrestlers trying to make a living in the wrestling business while Bubba is ripping the product on his radio show after being fired last week.

"Meanwhile, they (TNA) have guys who are trying to be in the wrestling business that are talented and capable to be pushed to the future," Cornette said. "They're having Bubba the Love Sponge squat down on their heads like he's taking a (expletive) on them on their television, then they fire him, and he talks like this about them."

Cornette continued to try to explain the tangled web, which is similar to a handful of current TNA storylines where it's not clear who's likable or admirable in the way the stories are being presented.

"Obviously, they realized Spike TV was not going to be happy if they were dragging down Spike's network rating instead of bringing it up. Once again, who advised her (Carter) it was going to be a great idea? The same people that Bubba the Love Sponge buddied up to get in the wrestling business and is now knocking the people who hired him. It's a triangle. It's a classic three-way heel program where no one wants to see anyone succeed," Cornette said.

"How can they not know that by hiring these type of people who disrespect the wrestling fans, look down their noses at the wrestling business, and say now that it's beneath them, they bring this guy in and give him television time while other people languish in obscurity that could be the future generation of the wrestling business."
