Former WWE and TNA wrestler Booker T says he's not interested in returning to a regular wrestling schedule for TNA or WWE with his wife, Sharmell, giving birth to twins this summer.

Booker says his surprise appearance at a TNA house show last month filling in for A.J. Styles was a one-shot deal and not a sign that he's returning to TNA.

"I don't want to do a whole lot right now," Booker told Jason Clevett for Slam Wrestling. "The TNA family actually treated me very well, I was just going through a lot of personal things when I left."

Booker says he's still close to TNA president Dixie Carter. He says TNA's VP of Talent Relations, Terry Taylor, called him up to fill in for Styles and work against Rob Van Dam at the house show in Louisiana last month.

As for WWE, Booker says he was "real close" to signing with WWE after leaving TNA last year. He says his wife became pregnant while he was negotiating with WWE, causing him to reconsider his priorities.

"I was really close to going back to WWE. Things did not work out due to a lot of things. I can't work six months out of the year, 160 days. That would be really hard on me," Booker said. "We got pregnant at the same time that negotiations were being talked about. It was a lot of different things which lead to the breakdown."

Booker says he doesn't think he's burned a bridge to WWE and he would like to work for the company down the road, possibly as a road agent behind the scenes.

"It may be a possibility for me to go back there someday maybe in a different position. I always wanted to be an agent, a writer, work with guys from a backstage perspective," Booker said. "Wrestling is not something I foresee myself being able to do for the rest of my life."

FYI: Booker will be appearing in Canada this weekend at the PWA promotion's Night of Champions show in Calgary, Alberta. Booker won the promotion's title in April and is returning on June 19 to defend.
