TNA wrestler Kurt Angle opened up about his concerns with the TNA booking in an interview with Scott Fishman of the Miami Herald.

Angle identified two issues - the "start and stop" pushes of mid-card stars and TNA taking the World Title off A.J. Styles in March when Rob Van Dam became the company's champion.

"I'd like for TNA to be competitive. I like to say repetitive, meaning sticking with a storyline and seeing it through," Angle said.

"I like them to look at an individual and say all or nothing. In other words, push him to the moon or don't push them at all. No halfway. Let's ride them as far as you can ride them, and then maybe get somebody else. ... We need to follow through with our characters."

On taking the title off Styles in favor of RVD, Angle said, "We were getting there with A.J. Styles. He was just at that elite status. He was very close. Then we kind of pulled the title off. A.J., in my mind, still is the best wrestler today. His championship run was a little short."

Angle has over one year left on his TNA contract before he anticipates cutting down his workload with injuries continuing to pile up. Angle said he wants to keep trying to get over young talent to build the company for the future.

"Thank God they gave me a month off," Angle said. "I would have preferred two or three to be honest with you because I keep getting injured. My shoulder popped out. I have an injured cartilage in my ribs. It comes with age. I don't expect to be 100 percent all the time. I'm smart enough to work around it and make the match look really good."

Angle provided his wish list of wrestlers he would like to join TNA, including former WWE star Batista, ROH wrestlers (he didn't identify anyone specifically), and Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas.

"I'd love to bring back Team Angle, from a babyface perspective first. Then we could spread off. We never really had an ending. We just split off, when I got injured," Angle said. "They are two really solid wrestlers. They've both been wrestling for over 10 years. If anything, they could help elevate these younger guys."
