The following are some news and notes from each of the nine matches on Sunday night's Victory Road PPV.

-- Motor City Machineguns captured the TNA Tag Titles for the first time in the stand-out match of the night against Beer Money. TNA booked a double pinfall initially, then re-started the match and the Guns won the tag titles.

-- Angelina Love became new Knockouts champion after a DQ victory over Madison Rayne. She was aided by an unidentified woman in motorcycle gear who is returning TNA Knockout Tara.

Considering the way in which the title was switched due to the referee believing there was "outside interference by the Beautiful People," the title change isn't expected to hold up at the next set of TV episodes. That means another likely title change situation in the Knockouts division.

-- TNA World Hvt. champion Rob Van Dam beat Jeff Hardy, Abyss, and Mr. Anderson in a four-way match to retain the TNA World Title. After the match, TNA continued to tease a feud between RVD and Abyss over the title. It remains to be seen if that's the direction TNA goes with the World Title situation.

-- X Division champion Doug Williams beat Brian Kendrick to retain the X Division Title in an Ultimate X match. The match opened the PPV and set the stage for the rest of the PPV in the ring.

-- After weeks of build-up, Jay Lethal beat Ric Flair in a 12-minute match. The match was slotted sixth on the card, below the TNA Tag Title match, Kurt Angle's victory over The Pope, and the main event TNA Title match.

-- Hernandez won a cage mach over Matt Morgan to blow off their feud. The match featured a few different spots where Morgan had a visual victory to set up future heel promos to get his heat back.

-- Samoa Joe and Global champion Rob Terry were revealed as the mystery opponents for A.J. Styles and Kazarian. Styles and Kazarian used outside interference from Desmond Wolfe to win the match and become members of Ric Flair's Fortune group per the match stipulation.

-- The ECW group of Tommy Dreamer, Rhino, Stevie Richards, and Raven appeared in the stands during the Brother Ray vs. Brother Devon vs. Jesse Neal three-way match.
