Following yesterday's Twitter incident with Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff said in an interview with Slam Wrestling that Hogan and he are planning to stay with TNA for the length of their agreement.

"Hulk Hogan is still with TNA. We have a contract for two years, and we plan on fulfilling our contract," Bischoff said.

Bischoff is currently promoting the new "Reaction" show that is debuting tonight after Impact as a weekly TV program. Bischoff said Spike TV has committed to a short-term window to determine if there is interest in the show.

"We have a 10 episode commitment," Bischoff said. "WWE and WCW never attempted this. We think we will know the reaction but we are not sure because there is nothing to gauge it against."

In an interview with Matt Fowler of IGN.com, Bischoff talked about the goal of the show to humanize the characters within the story while using the different camera techniques to make the show different than a standard Impact episode.

"In some cases it's going to be subtle, but in many cases it might be an abrupt change from the person they're used to seeing," Bischoff said about potential differences between a character on Impact vs. Reaction. "That's one of the things that's going to make the show so appealing. Again, it's the difference between watching someone perform on stage in front of a large audience and sitting down and having a beer with them."

Caldwell's Analysis: There are two interesting things with this Reaction show to look out for. One is whether the audience actually watches the show - and it might take time for the audience to stay an extra hour on a consistent basis. The other is whether it enhances or takes away the audience's investment in the product.

If Abyss is presented one way on Impact, then he's shown hanging out at the bar after the show talking about his match with RVD while not wearing his mask, then it poses a problem. Whatever TNA presents on TV should continue to build the stories they hope people will suspend their disbelief to engage in, continue to watch each week, and hopefully spend money on. If Abyss is presented as a monster heel who is a threat to the top babyface and TNA is theoretically building to a PPV where people will pay money to see the conflict play out, then it could hurt the story showing him in a different light right after Impact. "Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me it's fake. I'll save my money now."

On the flip side, TNA could enhance the stories playing out on Impact, which was one of the strengths of the pilot episode when Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson were feuding. It enhanced the feud and made it more believable by showing the characters talking as if they were promoting a real fight or issue. So, there's a fine line for TNA to walk. It will be interesting to see what the show looks like and what the response is to Reaction.
