The early report we have on last night's TNA Impact is the show averaged 1.50 million viewers, which is up from the recent average of 1.40 million viewers.

We don't have the official overall rating yet. Looking at the demographic numbers, Impact was right in line with recent ratings.

-- Impact scored a 0.53 rating among adults 18-49, which was equal to the Sept. 2 episode and down slightly from a 0.55 rating on Aug. 26 episode.

-- Impact scored a 0.83 rating among males 18-49. It was up slightly from a 0.81 rating for the previous episode and equal to a 0.83 rating on Aug. 26.

-- Impact was down slightly among males 18-34. The show scored a 0.67 rating in the demo, which was down from a 0.70 the previous episode and 0.72 on Aug. 26.

During Impact's summer peak in July, Impact was averaging a 0.80 rating in the m18-34 demographic.

Caldwell's Analysis: We'll see whether there's an uptick in the overall show rating, but the demographic ratings show TNA is not gaining ground with key male viewers. Thursday nights are tough with a variety of different male-oriented programming on Thursday nights. The Sept. 9 pre-emption didn't seem to affect TNA one way or another, with there not being a distinct increase (absence makes the heart grow fonder) or decrease (viewers forgetting due to a break in the weekly habit) or any real change this week.
