TNA Impact last Thursday, August 9 leading into Hardcore Justice officially scored a 0.90 rating. Up against the final Thursday of the Olympics, the first hour scored a 0.82 rating and the second hour scored a 0.98 rating.

Impact continues to be dogged by the new first hour, which topped out at a 0.84 rating in Q2 and Q3. Outside of the first live summer episode in the new timeslot, it was the lowest-rated first hour of the summer, even lower than when Impact was blacked-out on DirecTV.

Impact increased to a 0.98 at the top of the second hour, but only topped the 1.0 mark in Q7 with a 1.01 rating for the Aries-Roode contract signing. Impact then declined to a 0.96 rating in Q8 to close the show, which was the lowest-rated segment of the second hour.

First Hour Break Down - every quarter-hour rounded to a 0.8

Q1: Impact opened with a show-low 0.80 rating for Bully Ray's show-opening promo involving James Storm and the Aces & Eights. There was also one commercial. (Lowest-rated Q1 of the summer run outside of Week 1.)

Q2: Impact increased slightly to a 0.84 rating for RVD vs. Magnus in a Bound for Glory Series match, backstage segments, and one commercial. (Second-lowest-rated Q2 of the summer run.)

Q3: Impact stayed the same with a 0.84 rating for Daniels & Kaz vs. Devon & Garett Bischoff for the Tag Titles, one commercial, and Robbie E.'s promo that brought out Jeff Hardy to take a powerbomb through a table.

Q4: Impact declined slightly to a 0.80 rating for the set up for A.J. Styles vs. Kurt Angle, the first few minutes of the match, and two full commercial breaks dragging down the rating.

Second Hour Break Down - every quarter-hour rounded to a 1.0

Q5: Impact got its second hour bump to a 0.98 rating for the second-half of Angle vs. Styles, Anderson and Storm backstage, one commercial, and a backstage segment with Austin Aries. (This was the fourth Q5 to score below a 1.0 during the summer run, compared to seven summer shows at or above a 1.0.)

Q6: Impact stayed the same at a 0.98 for Miss Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim, Joseph Park backstage, a video package on Kenny King, and one commercial.

Q7: Impact increased slightly to a show-high 1.01 rating for the Bobby Roode and Austin Aries contract signing moderated by Sting, plus one commercial. (This was the only quarter-hour that topped last week's show, which scored a 0.98 rating in Q7.)

Q8: Impact declined to a 0.96 rating for the Bully Ray vs. James Storm main event, one commercial, and another video from the Aces & Eights group offering threats to close the show.
