TNA president Dixie Carter addressed why TNA is running their Lockdown PPV in the football-sized Alamodome stadium in an exclusive interview on Wednesday's PWTorch Livecast episode.

"San Antonio is a market that I have really wanted to play for a long time. I have held it out. We have never even had a house show there. So, I wanted it to be a big show when we brought it there," Carter said before addressing WWE's role in the decision.

"When you do have a big competitor and sometimes they may have a lock on a building or something like that, you have to make business decisions. Are you going to let them lock you of the city? Absolutely not. You're going to make the best decision you can make under the circumstances you have."

"The Alamodome was that decision in this market. And, it does scale down really nice. It's going to be feel big; we're going to have a lot of people in a small area. And, I have a feeling that it will turn out great."

What has helped Carter feel good about the decision to book the Alamodome is that as of Wednesday's ticket sales, Lockdown was on-pace to be TNA's most-attended domestic event.

"I was looking at the numbers today and San Antonio looks to be our biggest-attended event," Carter said. "I'm trying to get what that number would be to try to break it (the record), but I think by far San Antonio could be our biggest domestic live event, but Chicago (for Impact TV) is five days behind it and it's right on its heels. So, we're going to have a strong one-two punch out of the gate for these live events."

To try to get more people in the Alamodome for Lockdown, TNA announced on Wednesday that they opened up a "limited number of premium floor seats" for the PPV. More ticket info is available here at Alamodome.com.
